I hear you. I have put on about 40 lbs between the Lyrica and Gab. I will remain on the Lyrica for dysautomonia but will be able to get rid of the Gab. It wouldn't be so bad if I had fun putting on the weight. As it is, with chronic candida, I am on a strict diet that normally would prevent any weight gain. I practically live on meat protein and green veggies. Anything that has sugar or converts to sugar or is the least bit fermented is off limits.

Yesterday was a bummer for the most part and I got wild and ordered a pizza. Not a good idea. The flour in the crust is a no no. The yeast in the crust is a no no. The pizza sauce has both sugar and a bit of vinegar. That is a ferment and a no no. Mozzerella cheese isn't toooo bad as it isn't as aged (fermented) as, oh, sharp cheddar. Of course it is a milk product which has lactose. NO NO. The veggies were ok. I got up this morning with a whopping case of thrush but that pizza sure tasted good. I checked my stash box and found some Diflican. What the doctor doesn't know won't hurt him...........or me. I hate those lectures like I am some naughty child.

Oh, Mark. I have ordered the router. Judy can pick it up over theweekend and bring it to me on Monday. In the meantime, I am putting all electronic thoughts on the back burner where they belong. I have done all I can for the time being. Have a blessed weekend..

Heart Oh how I HEAR you

PIZZA........... yum........... and always a no no for weight gain challenged folks. But the flavor is sure enjoyed!

I hope and pray YOUT weekend will be decent, pain manageable though we know you are running headlong against the calendar of receiving help. Just take care.... OK? [One who cares much- I learned that from Eva, and Rae]

Electronics? Well, they will take care of themselves once router is updated at modest expense.... then, Internet watch out!

You will be burning up the virtual keyboard on your tablet!
Uh huh,
Yup,

I have pretty well worked out the pre-op jitters. After all, it is all in Someone elses's hands, not mine. It is wise to consider all possible challenges and form a safety net where possible. After that, it is best to let go and stay distracted. Boy, have I been distracted lately. I have done what I can with that and it is time to let go. I have taken care of the grandkids and my blessed brother for Christmas. I told the girls they would have to wait until January to get theirs' as well is pretty dry now. No big deal. They can accept it or not. I believe they will be most understanding. I need to let that one go too.

Judy is on her way so I can take a nice long hot soak I asked her to pick me up some French fries. I can't remember the last time I had those. Just hold the ketsup..........sugar and tons of vinegar. I could dip them in home made salsa. Hmmmmmmm. That might be tasty. It's good to know that everything is under control.

Well, , I guess I didn't tell the 'other' half of the story.....
Since then, I was put on a bunch of OTHER meds (mostly 'head' stuff )
that made me lose my appetite!.......
So, I guess that's like having a 'cheat sheet' sorta way to drop the pounds. Actually it was my THYROID meds they increased the dose, which increases the metabolism......

so, don't beat yourself up!!

Heart ahhhhhhh

Well, hey, OK, all I have to do is bang on someone's desk until I get my thyroid hyped up!

Nah, I think I had better leave well enough alone, and go for.......... starvation. Works everytime! Uh huh. Except the last time I did that it was not by design but by depression and the effects of depression are too icky to entertain.

So, moderation That's the ticket.

AND Spiney???? You are so right! All of those health issues are in Someone Else's Hands of Divine proportions. We will handle the praying. You just do the take care of Spiney part...... Then be comfortable and enjoy both that new Tablet and your Vizio once router has been brought out of the 19th century.

French Fries...... with lotsa salt, and salsa, sounds like a combo worth the wait. [in my case, weight ]

Love and Hugs to all,
Mark56

OOOOOOH. No salt. I gave that up decades ago. Now, if I put it on anything, that's about all I taste. Funny how that works out. The salsa did the trick. My older daughter makes it by the case load from end of season veggies in the garden. You know how there are always more tomatoes and peppers of all kind than you can give away because everyone else planted too many. I use salsa as a substitute for anything that calls for salad dressing or ketsup. It works. I will be taking it easy at least for this weekend. I tend to sleep round the clock when it is dark and dreary.

I can't communicate how thrilled I am about the problem with the tablet. If it weren't for that, I never would have guessed what was wrong with the Vizio. Such a blessing in disguise. I was beside myself when it quit working. It wasn't real big as this room is rather small but I know my brother paid good money for it. It just kills him to part with a penny and he spent two and half hours standing in line on a Black Friday to get it at a good price :rolleyes

Teeth Salsa by the case lot

OHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh............ Spiney, you touched on a soft spot in my gastro tract.... that part which yearns for salsa. We are gonna have to meet at Pooh's for a salsa party, and bring lots of tomatoes and peppers, the anaheim and jalapeno kind to create salsa by the gallon.

I nearly just DRINK the stuff.

I am a salsa holic!!!!!!

Gonna have to invite your daughter to Pooh's as well!!! Then maybe she can teach we who are salsa challenged how to make loads of wonderful spicy yummy enjoyable SALSA

If Big Bird had known such a friend, I would be called the

SalsaMonster!!!!Muahhahahahahahahahahahahahahha burp.

There is no salsa icon on this board.
Drat,
Yum,
Ole [but there is a chili]
