Dr. Visit

Yee-Haw! I'm now staple-free and the Automation is on (and I can take normal showers!). Gotta tell y'all it's really strange (cool, actually!) to have this thing automatically switch when I lay down, stand up, walk, etc.

So anyway, the Medtronic dude tried several things and didn't find any reason for the stuttering and, as the case with all of us, is hoping it's just post-op anomoly that'll clear up in time.

Over Rep's Head

How about the possibility Andy that this anomalous behaviour is just over the Rep's head AND one does not as a Rep push upstream within the company equipment could be faulty? Sorry to be thinking like a products liability person, it is just something in the veins I reckon...... but, as Jackiey wrote curiouser things have happened, such as a battery which would not charge.

I just wonder whether the Rep needs to talk upstream in the company about the stuttering issue, because if Xray shows all connections nominal, you know as a computer mate and I know having worked with whizbang electrical stuff, if there is a stuttering effect, often a short is indicated if the programming is not causing the pulse.

Glad you have staples out and can shower..... as a matter of fact, having the staples out removes another possibility on which rep could hang a hat.... the possibility the staples themselves were interfering with the signal.

I just know from my own EKG issue just before my fusion recently all sorts of electrical anomalies can present themselves with our technology, as when I had failed to turn off my stim before the administration of the EKG.... WHAT A HOOT! The hospital exam room was going mad with people trying to figure whether I was alive, dead, having a heart attack or some other imponderable until I said "omigosh, I have my remote here in my pocket! I forgot to turn off the stim! Could that be the problem?" Folks scrambled for my remote until I turned off the stim and my rhythms on the EKG levelled out.

So, ifn you are willing to sing for your Rep next time, know the tune to Tumbling Tumbleweed, and are up for it, sing "I have a Medtronic stutterer!" Might catch them off guard, then folks should start to take notice of your issue instead of just scratching the head. Why do I PUSH so hard? Because the product has a warranty, and it will run without you achieving help if you do not PUSH BACK.

Yup,
Mark56
