I have been these horrible shots in my stomach every 12 hours. I don't know how long it will take for the clots to disappear, but I hope it's soon, but then I will be on a drug called Coumadin for 6-9 months. We don't have a definitive answer why it happened, but consensus say feeling like poo lying in bed apparently caused a few DVTs thar broke and landed in my lungs. I believe divine intervention was at work because we were not planning to go to th hospital. Well, my husband felt something was wrong, and we went. If we waited a week or two, it might have been no more TK. Wow!! Crazy how things work out sometimes. Anyway, I should be out of icu today or tomorrow, and out of hospital, well hopefully Friday. At least no rsd pain the DVTs ultrasound was quite painful, but I made it. Oh, and due to mixed company, I dare not tell y'all my catheter story but it is a doozy.wow!!! Wow ridiculousness. But I'm here by the grace of god.

OOh I'm sorry I missed this. I imagine the shots in your stomach are to stop more clots as they give them me when I'm in hospital for that reason.

Catheter .. I understand

You're in great humour and I applaud you for that.

Hugs from me

Recovery turtle style

Im doing better. Just Coumadin is not a drug that makes you feel chipper. Course my dr. Says it's glorified rat poison. My pt is 2.4 which is good. I just can't get past the sheer exhaustion. Course three weeks post surgery recovery and the blood clots just wear me out. I am now sporting TED hose full time (they're so sexy lol) and still have chest pain and the calf pain is horrible. Sheldon does not relieve it. My dr. Says that is pretty much a guarantee that the lung clots were DVTs from my legs. She said the hose should help. They don't. Just wanted to update everyone. Getting better, but it just seems to take time. I know I have FMLA for 12 weeks, but my drs. Are saying six months for full recovery. I am hoping they release me for work. I am a teacher, which does not seem physical, but it really is! Physically and mentally exhausting. So we shall see. Anyway, hope everyone else is well. I'm going to try school (my master's class tonight) in a wheelchair. I don't know if I will make it, but I will try it. Hope you are all as pain free as possible! Thanks again for continued prayers, hugs, and well wishes!

Really don't know what I would do without yalls encouragement!

Thank you so much for your updates TK

I know it seems like your recovery is going slowly. You've been thru an incredible journey tho! I hope the chest pains have eased up?
Are you feeling a bit more energetic at this point?

Please take it real easy, eat right, and get the rest your body needs...
.... yes  I can be a bit 'motherly' at times....but hey, it makes me feel important :D

Thinking about you!!

I understand your concern about FMLA as I'll be running out of mine...

Hope things start looking up for you!

Well now....

Can't have this FMLA running on us and Teachers pushed beyond limits..... so prayin we must do. Yeah, we do resort to that to help as well. T, thank you for your service as a teacher!! Much respect from this household, for we do know how education plays such a big role in the development of the society yet to unfold and be revealed.

Appreciative,
