I was in horrible pain earlier this eve (l4L5 failed back surgery), within 15 minutes using SCS my pain was under control. I have a problem with my battery overheating so I can't keep it on like I use too. Have dropped over half in narcotics also.

My electrodes are just under my skin, peripheral STS.

What a thrill to see you are achieving significant pain management despite the heating issue with your Stim. Hmmmmm........ I am sitting here typing just now and using my recharger tucked where??? [in the waistband of my pants], so I may top off the "tank" of power before a day at the office tomorrow.

I find this gizmo gives me about a week of use before I notice the meter dropping and realize charging must occur. I try to charge before capacity drops signigicantly so as to avoid long duration charging episodes. I found if I charge less than half an hour, I am good to go for the week without having too significant an appreciable amount of heat build up during the charging event.

I, too, have gone away from pain meds, although in my case and under Doc's watchful gaze we completely withdrew me from all pain management meds. Now my goal is to withdraw completely from the depression meds which became necessary as I withdrew from pain mangement meds. It is really going rather well, and I do feel BLESSED!
