Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. It's been a longgg day. I thought I was ready and I guess I wasn't..as far as surgical pain. Cannot move without hurting.

I was awake threw the whole thing just relaxed.

Tomorrow is a new day and and I hope things will start feeling better.

Thanks
Ashley

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Puter problems. I did know today was the day and you have been in my prayers. I know today was a tough day. I no longer call Pain Man by his name..........to his face. I call him Roter Router Man. Three hours of pushing and rooting around was a bit much and I got a bit sarcastic............nothing critical as he IS my hero. When he got tired of listening to me and spooking the Medtronic rep., he would tell the surgical nurse to give me some more Versed and shut me up. Now I know how to get more Versed. It will start to get better fast. I hope and pray that you experience what I did............total elimination of the neuropathy. I was shocked............no pun intended, as I never expect THAT. Hang tough. You are do for some good luck. Soft gentle hugz.

Default Ashley...Good to hear from you!

Ashley-

It's good to hear from you so soon- I take that as a good sign, although I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain. As I hear/read though, the post-op pain from the trial dissapates rather quickly, so I hope that will be the case for you as well- am praying for you, as promised!

Thanks for keeping in touch, it's definietly helping me, for as you know I have my trial coming up. So I must ask, if you don't mind, when you say you 'thought you were ready' but you weren't, how so do you mean? Was it more painful than you expected? Or were you surprised in another way? "Picking your brain" so to speak, is helping me so much, I can't express my gratitude that you're willing to be so open through all this!

Thanks again, and I'll be praying that you feel better soon, and that you get great pain relief from your SCS!

~Colleen

Default ps...duh on my part!

p.s. I just re read your post... and realized I read wrong the first time. I now see what you meant by "thought you were ready" you say so right there "as far as surgical pain".... Sorry for my big "duh"...

lol.... hope this finds you feeling better, and can get a laugh at my expense
