Call your rep

Hi Tessa-

You should have been provided a phone number for reaching your rep in case anything goes awry during the trial/post op period. Use the number, use it now. The reps are quite busy, so calling soonest puts you in the queue to get a call back to relate your sneeze attack tale and maybe have restoration of your relief.

While my rep, being busy of course, will no longer return my calls as the sale has been made long ago and they are salespeople first and foremost [ I imagine the rule of salesmanship is the same whether BOSTON SCIENTIFIC or any other brand ] when that sale had not been quite made......he was extremely attentive. Yours probably will be as well. Give them a call.

This is the way the squeaky wheel receives "the grease." Call them.

Yup, :)

My swelling down my leg is from the CRPS 2 so although I would normally use those great little gel packs, in this case I cannot :( Ah.. but just as I am typing this, I answered my own question. Thanks Mark for your help in stimulating my brain enough to remember... I had previously used an ice/heat compression machine that was prescribed after my hip surgeries. I'll bet that the heat/compression setting would work out just dandy! Oh, thank you for making me think!

Whooopsies.. I had an allergy sneak sneeze attack yesterday and after it passed I realize that my SCS had lost its programming on my favorite setting.. ugh. Maybe one of you know if with only 3 days left in my trial if it is worth seeing if it can be adjusted? The other program is okay, its just that the area of stim isn't as precise as the group I lost. Any thoughts? Darn allergies..

May today bring you a special blessing,
Tessa

Tessa....Call your rep.....dang it does sound like the lead did a bit of repositioning....note it in your journal...how it feels and keep up that journal...it will help for future programing etc.
Call your rep...keep the communication going with him. From past posts I would GUESS that they may remove it if you go in.

My best would be to say this is why after the implant surgery BLAST is so important. If you go thru with implant prepare for an allergy attack....with meds or maybe extra pillow to hold on to.
All our brains will work on this for you...lets see what feedback comes in.

Do take care...slow...so slow it makes me crazy...slow...slow

We even went today, and it was good being out again with an overcast sky, tempers of other boaters were in check, the company was good [friends] AND we were able to share a picnic together. There were no falls, no injuries, no tough stuff today. A good one indeed.

Yup, :D

Such a brilliant idea!! So glad you were able to get out on the water and enjoy the beauty of God's creation with friends and family. I wanted to share a picture with you of our boating trip last weekend for Dad's day. This is a high mountain lake fed by glacial runoff. The picture does not do it justice!! We fished the river and the lake, both equally beautiful but my fav was the river where the pic was taken! To my surprise I did really well on the boat physically.. just needed to keep my CRPS 2 leg warm and relax so that my own fears wouldn't spark more pain. It was wonderful! Wish you all could have been there with us!

Thanks a bunch Jo!! I actually emailed my rep last night so hopefully I will hear from him today. Based on my concern about them just removing it I think I would rather just use the other setting even though it isn't as good. haha still better than without it, for sure! Unless... there is a risk with the lead not being in the right spot??

You take care also and prayn' you have a great day despite whatever challenges you face.

Tessa

Gosh Mark.. that is absolutely absurd that a rep wouldn't call you back!! Kind of got my blood boiling actually. Hmmmm maybe we should have you right up a contract that states we will accept these units on the condition that for the duration of the implant without any stipulations that a rep is required to respond to our needs within 24 hours!! Just blows my mind that a person is forgotten once they actually have the device and no more $$ are at stake.

I will call.. already emailed last night but a phone call at 8AM will be done, thanks for the advice.

Have a terrific day!

Update on email to Medtronic Rep.

I am happy to report that my rep. returned my email just before 8AM. He is going to arrange to meet for reprogramming later today, if I can arrange a ride. I live 2hrs away so that becomes challenging when family/friends are at work. No worries though something will work out!

Rejoice, Rest, Revitalize,
Tessa
