I am also new here. I was diagnosed with CRPS in my foot about a year ago. I have had 5 sympathetic nerve blocks since April of last year. They lasted until December. Now I am getting ready to try the scs myself. All of the posts here are of great help.

The folks here are wondrous at sharing their experiences and helps!

I am glad you ventured into the room!! Make yourself at home and set a spell. Share and ask as much as you like. :)

I hope your venture exploring SCS will lead to lasting good care in your situation.

Just wondering how long it took to heal after the SCS implant?

Hi Frog,
I had to go back to work.... pretending to be 100% or lose my job.... 10 days post op. While my incisions healed well in 3 months. My battery settled in just fine...it has moved a bit sideways....
I did not really "heal" until six months post op when I could leave work and rest lots....lots. I found this board and learned BLaST and found out way more than my doctors ever told me.
Even tho I am healed...I still feel it in me and it hurts to have it jammed into my spine..... laminectomy or not makes all the difference in healing.
I am now almost 2 years post op and I want to know...when does it stop hurting by just being in me?

Really glad to meet you ....lots of new activity on the board...soothing to me that I have yall' to be with.

Johanna

We'd love to 'be with' you as you venture in to this mode of pain management, because we surely can learn from you as well.

It's great that you are here!
