![]() ![]() This is my first night and I am new to this site. I am on day 3 of my Spinal cord Stimulator trial. I am finding and searching thru my programs to find the right one for me. I am living vibrator lol!... from lower back to feet. I am nervous because I have been in pain for so many years now so many.. and am on so many meds creams and patches.. what if this doesn't work? This is a trial after all. |

Oh I so hope your trial goes well. I'm sure your rep and PM have told you all the do's and dont's so be sure to follow them to the letter. What brand do you have? There are many of us on here and we all have differing models/brands. It is always helpful if we can know the brand as each one, while they aim to achieve the same outcome they come with differing functions, settings, instructions, maintenance and well for want of a better word buzzing. Wingy, Chrelsey and myself have Nevro Senza, others have Boston, Medtronic, St Jude and another model that alludes me for now.
Whatever you do, don't be tempted to reach up and wash or brush your hair, make the bed or lift anything heavier than a kettle. Best of luck with it and welcome to our merry group. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ....and here I thought we'd thought of every possible naughtiness there is! Thank you for coming to NT to share your trial! Sounds like you are needing the stim in the same area I do. I can't even describe how wonderful the soothing 'buzzing' is in my legs, other than to picture the happiest cat in the world sitting on your legs........PUUUURRRRrrrrrinnng I do get the stim in my lower back, but the pain there is different than the burning RSD/CRPS pain in legs. I remember very well day 3 of my trial. That's when the 'surgical' pain from the trial implant went away and it was like all of a sudden the curtains opened wide and I was able to experience what it feels like NOT to have that pain....well, the pain is still there of course, but the stim did a great job of covering over. I was so elated, giggling and laughing with my kids. I had forgot what a good belly laugh can do to one's outlook on life. I hope and pray you have a good experience w/your trial, and like Pam reminds us how important it is to follow all the rules, so as not to suffer consequences of a migrated lead or such. Check out the very valuable info that is at the top of this forum in the 'Stickie' section. It spells a lot of it out very clearly and easy to understand. It's great to have you and I sure hope you stick around to let us know how this unfolds for you.! Lotsa great support here. Rae |
