Family n Friends

Hey Phil, we are all here for you as you go through the next stage of your SCS journey. It is sad but true, the vast majority of our friends and family are all talked out, they no longer know what to say or when to say it. I used one of the other NT members phrases yesterday. I called in to drop off some lemons to my mum and she asked how I was, to avoid going into detail (as I'm feeling really low and poorly) I just said I don't really feel the best but I'm ok. So she looked me up and down and said "well you don't look sick" so I borrowed someone else's phrase and replied "well you don't look stupid". There was stunned silence and I burst into laughter, then went on to say, I'm sorry mum, I couldn't help it but thanks for the laugh, the look on your face was priceless.

One of the latest members checking in. Glad I found this place, even if we can't always help each other, at least we have a bit of an idea where the other members are coming from with their day to day life. Most of my family don't even think/know there is anything wrong with me, let alone discuss it with them. So I say again, Thanks everyone for your support and feedback.

Phil

awesome story
priceless
did the right thing
gave her a call on her
cell
left a message
understood her intentions
erring to the side her kindness
mine comes with a price
secrecy
i know i hurt her on her last
phone call to me
today i hope she gets it
and if she doesn't
that okay too

awesome story

That is classic!!!! I must remember to keep that phrase for the uneducated. I'm sure both sides get a laugh out of it. Thanks for the laugh, and I'm glad you still have your sense of humour.

Yep, I'm here....a day late and a dollar short as usual.
I've hooked up with a Dr who is much more aggressive than the Dr who retired and only prescribed meds.
I'm his pin cushion I guess  but willing to do almost Anything if it would help with my degen discs and spasms.

My heart is here continuously, but my mind.....not so good (?)

Huggs to all! And Glad to have you with the group Phil!

Rae
