Default SCS and pregnancy?

Hi everyone,

So basically my pain team have been trying to get me to have an SCS implanted. I have CRPS in one upper and one lower limb, on opposite sides of my body. I have no use of my arm at all from the elbow down, and have developed tibial torsion in my leg because of the muscle contractures.

When we discussed it in clinic all I seemed to get were the 'pros' of having it done, after coming home and doing a bit more research I have found it to be far more complicated than that. One thing that bothers me are the risks around getting pregnant later on after having the device fitted. While I couldn't find much information on this, it seems that it is generally not recommended due to the risks not being fully understood? I am in my early twenties, so I feel its unreasonable to completely rule out having children, however I would not even want to consider putting a future child's health at risk, especially when I still currently have other pain management options I could try.

So I just wondered if anyone here has any experience or knows anything about this? I'm feeling a little mistrustful of my pain team after they conveniently forgot to mention it to me, that and the fact they are planning to only connect it up to my arm and not my leg, which in my opinion seems a little bit pointless?
