While I am glad you are recovering and can sometimes be without your service animal, some of us cannot.
As a person with a hidden disability, I am often confronted with the uneducated. I will talk [in general terms] until I am blue in the face or suggest a visit to the nearest computer, but I will not tolerate discrimination because I am not blind, or deaf, or in a wheelchair. If someone threatens to call the cops, I tell them please do. I have a legal right to have a service dog. I have a legal right to medical privacy. I cannot live without my service dog. That`s the message the public needs to hear. Afew cases of fraud should in no way keep me from having something resembling a normal life. Respectfully, Seachylde |
