And JD, I'm so sorry your furbaby got so sick with all you have been through! Very impressed that you keep on them! I would!

I feel for you. We had to get a prescription for a lifesaving device (portable suction) for my son who has CP to be able to fly with it.

1. Judges cannot be above the law. ADA syas SDs are ok a judge cannot refuse. If he does he can be charged.

2. If oyu don't finght the system no one will do it for you. I was denied access into my congresspersons office because she doesn't like dogs. Too bad, it's a puiblic building and a public person. I have the right to access with Jin so I sat there and waited. When the security guarad tried to remove my dog and placed hand on him I called the cops and had him arrested. It is against state and federal law to interfere with a service dog team. This is especially true in airports despite the new ruelings.

Read my post under post office denied access

My story of being assaulted by POLICE OFFICERS AT SOCIAL SERVICES was just posted in the thread where someone was denied access to the Post Office but as an addendum:

IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW FOR ANYONE & THAT INCLUDES POLICE OFFICERS & SECURITY GUARDS TO EVEN ASK SOMEONE WITH A SERVIVE DOG FOR PROOF THE FEDERAL LAW (WHICH SUPERCEDES ALL STATE & LOCAL LAWS) CLEARLY STATES THAT THE ONLY THING ANYONE CAN ASK IS:

1) Is this dog necessary to assist you with a medical or psychiatric condition?
(to this you are only required to answer "yes" or "no")
2) What service does the dog provide you?
(since you DO NOT BY LAW NEED TO DISCLOSE YOUR MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC CONDITION you can simply respond "The dog alerts me to a medical (even if it is psychiatric) problem"

Once you have answered these 2 questions as outlined about FEDERAL LAW CLEARLY STATES THIS IS THE END OF THE DISCUSSION & YOU MUST BE ALLOWED ENTRY.

I could go on & on but I am tired. As stated in the other forum I am a Disability Advocate (with secondary progressive MS) & I am starting a non profit to raise awareness about Service Dogs & people with disabilities.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU & DO NOT BACK DOWN - THE LAW IS ON YOUR SIDE

Let your voice be heard. Go through the trouble and alot of other people will benefit. The disabled really do have more to contend with sometimes. You would think the judge would have a heart and allow your guide. Sometimes I just don't understand people, and where compassion went. ginnie:hug:
