Default Cystocele, Rectocele and vault suspension surgery

Please tell me that SOMEONE on here has had these procedures together!

I'm brand new on here, but really crying out for some answers here. I've been recliner bound for quite some time due to having horrible back pain and bladder cramping. I am supposed to be scheduling my surgery in the next few weeks, and I've heard some horrible things about vault suspension surgery along with cystocele and rectocele repairing.

Has your sex life returned to normal? Do you have any problems after having this surgery?

I'm really scared about having it done, but at the same time I don't want to be recliner bound either.

Any thoughts are welcome.
Thanks so much!

I have a cystocele and rectocele both but have been told it is a Grade 1...so it is not too bad and pelvic floor PT has helped a great deal with it.

But my mother had this done but I think only for a cystocele. She did fine although it took a couple of weeks for her to be able to sit properly since there was a small incision on her backside. But that was all about a year or so ago and she is doing just great.

Now, if I ever have to have it done for both, I will be having my Urogyn do the repairs. My ob/gyn and even RE could have done it and would have. But the Urogyn is who I am seeing for all of this. And in my case I also have spinal disorders which really played into all of this (nerve damge). So, between my spinal PM and Urogyn I managed to get it all sorted out.

So, hang in there, I think I would go ahead with the repairs. I know my mom was glad she had it done and wishes she had had it done a lot sooner.

I saw my OB/GYN doctor the other day, and she told me that she is very confident that the surgery will go well, and that I'll bounce back fairly quickly knowing how I reacted to my hysto surgery. She said that only 5% of women really show signs or complain about permanent post op soreness that keeps them from having enjoyable intercourse. That really alleviated my fears. I'm too young to leave my sexuality behind because my insides are complaining.
Thanks so much for your response Kathy!
