Default Myoclonus/hypnic jerks/cortisol rushes

Took Lorazepam one night and didn't taper it off in April 2013. I then took it on and off over two months. On average a small amount three times a week. Moved onto Remeron (mitrazapine) in September 2013. Switched over to Melatonin end of March 2014.

Symptoms have come back recently and I dont know why.
Symptoms are myoclonic jerks and cortisol rushes when about to doze off.

I Had no sleep problems before I took the Lorazepam.

Regards,
Brian

Maybe this is what I have, too. Cortisol rushes just as I drift off to sleep. I didn't know what it was, but it startles me and then I am awake. This can go on all night. I am up right now because it is going on and on in spite trazodone and xanax. Has anything helped you with this?

I get it upon waking. awful feeling. large dose of Cymbalta and Neurontin seemed to help last night. it happens during my REM sleep.
