Default Hypersomnia

Hi everyone!

Diagnosed in November with Hypersomnia - MSL test showed 5/5 naps, average time to fall asleep 3 minutes. No REM sleep or the diagnosis would have been Narolepsy. I do go into REM sleep easily and quickly at home, but the sleep study room was so LOUD, I couldn't stay asleep (they wore high heels and stomped up and down the hall!). For now the only thing we are looking into is a really low Iron/Ferritin. We tried an Iron infusion because oral Iron therapy with multiple Iron types has failed for the past year. The Iron infusion created an allergic reaction so that's out. I don't believe that Iron is the only factor at play. Have any of you found a reason for hypersomnia? Any other anemics found a way to get Iron levels up?
