Hi Denton
I have Central Apnea from having multiple concussions when young, and was prescribed the gabapentin for burning nerve pain from having burned out Juvenile Rheumatoid and Sjogren's disorder (attacks saliva and tear ducts, etc.) Gabapentin is in my experience the ONLY thing that will touch burning nerve pain. It's also good for helping with sleep. The only bad side effect of neurontin (gabapentin) is it will cause edema. That's why I had to stop taking a bunch of it every night, and switch to PRN. Sometimes, it's the only thing that will help me get to sleep. hopes this helps gershonb |
