Sleep study high pCO2
Anyone have a problem with high PCO2 levels? I had my 4th sleep study and they finally tried a bi-pap machine on me. The other 3 they kept putting me on oxygen because my CO2 dropped below 90 on the pulse ox.
This time they didn't use oxygen and just a bi-pap full face mask, but the nurse called today and told me my pCO2 was at 60 and the normal range is 35-45 and with a level of 60 that is getting to the point where my breathing could just shut down, guess the brain is not getting enough oxygen to tell me to breath. I don't have sleep apnea where I actually stop breathing, just don't take deep breaths. They call it obesity hypoventalation syndrome, anyone have this too?
Thank you,
Debb
