Anyone have suggestions for severe insomnia? I am at my breaking point. I can not sleep, this is nothing new but it's getting worse with each night. I am on the verge of crashing, mentally and physically.
I believe my spouse has sleep apnea also, which is adding to me not sleeping. I've told him he needs to see the doctor but doesn't think it's serious. I know it's serious. Please help, I"ve tried many medications for sleep and in all honesty they do not work for me. It doens't help that I have a lot of health issues which make it tough for me to sleep, but when I can get sleep, I wake up to my spouse with his breathing (lack of) and snoring. How can I convince him to go to the doctor? How can I get some sleep before I lose my mind? |

Welcome, Summertime!
I use a CPAP b/c of sleep apnea. I also use earplugs occasionally. Have you tried them so, at least when you're asleep, you don't get snored awake?! Good luck to you and sweet dreams.

is it possible to sleep in another room? that might prompt ur dh to go to sleep lab.
i have sleep apnea too, but if i use a cpap the insomnia kicks into overdrive. i get relief sleeping on my one good side. mt tips 1. is the room dark? even a clock can trigger wrong circadian rhythm 2. some need quiet to sleep, i sleep better with a dvd in timed to go off after 120 minutes. pick one with nice music that is slightly boring 3. read something boring 4. bed same time daily, same wake time even weekends 5. pay bills in morning 6. a warm dog or kitty helps 7. make it cold at nite for those hot flashes 8. do yoga a few times a week to calm down |
