Default Another successful shuttle launch!

Discovery blasted off from Kennedy Space Center tonight!

As usual, a totally awesome sight, with held breaths and prayers and fingers crossed all over the country!

Thanks Tom!!!

Thumbs up

I have gone outside to watch many shuttle launches since we moved here in 1991 but last night's has to have been the most awesomely spectacular sight!

the entire clear night sky around us turned bright orange at lift off and then the massive fireball soared upward, becoming a bright beacon of light. Even tho it was midnite, our road was filled with cheering people

we are about 45 miles NW of KSC but it felt like we were right next to it

Godspeed Discovery
