Wiz ... my enzyme levels are still high ... and they didn't go down as much as they would of hoped with me being off of copax for a week .. so, I can go back on ...
and I don't take ace...-mine and haven't had a beer since .. uh ... September! they don't know why - and it's not hepatitis, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis ... just added fibromyalgia ... in the meantime, they have no idea WHY ... so, I'll be a test patient .. because they CT scanned me and biopsy'd me - and that all showed nothing!! I will not die of a liver disease ... have another one of those headaches - light sensitivity ... glare ... Sandy - ain't that great about the paper shuffle being over?? and LOL - I have ALWAYS sit like she does .. never could sit regular Indian-style! |
Sandy - My first thought when I saw that picture was "how is she sitting like that?". That is amazing. I have trouble with that at 39-11/12's (I'm holding onto 39 for as long as I can). She looks cute like that.

Wiz, glad you had a successful day!
Sox, I hope you feel better soon! Jackie, I too am trying to lose weight and increase exercise. I lose 5 gain 5. Sandy, the legs were the first thing I noticed. Reminded me of how my 14 yr old son sits on the dojo floor! :) Vonn, thanks for the info. I need to go back through and recheck all the data entered. I'm hoping for a typo :p. I hope you figure out what is driving up your liver enzymes. Mine were higher this last checkup, but I am on Betaseron. Doc didn't seem worried...he just said we worry when it's 5 times normal. :grouphug: to everyone! |
Good morning everyone!
Sox - Hope you feel better soon! Wiz - I am glad you are enjoying your job! You sound so happy and I think that is so awesome. Don't worry about making mistakes - we all make them when starting something new. Vonn - Congrats on the MBA progress! How awesome is that. Hope they can resolve the liver issue soon and I'm glad you were able to go back on the C. Sandy - Heck! I sit like that all the time. LOL j/k I do, however, sit Indian style when I'm on the floor. When I was in PT for the muscle spasms, the PT kept saying how limber and flexible I was.:confused: I don't know how with the muscles being stuck in the spams. My leg would only go so far and then stop. Holly - 39 11/12ths - :D:D That's funny. Jackie & TKTC - Good luck on the weight loss. DBF just went through that. He lost a lot of weight and looks fantastic; but it was really hard for him. Before he went on this crazy diet I reviewed other diets. Apparently the Biggest Loser diet is the best according to several nutritionists. I looked it over and it doesn't seem too bad. Just an idea for you both. Hi everyone else! Thinking of you too! Today I am going to finish up my homework, meet with Disabled Student Services to do my "accommodations," and await for dictation to come in as this is my busy time. Have a great day everyone!:grouphug: |
Good Morning! I'm so mad at myself this morning. I forced myself to stay awake last night so I could watch The Bachelor (I know....:o) and what did I do??? Fell asleep DURING the rose ceremony and didn't get to see who had to go home! Anybody know who went home?
I know, it's a ridiculous thing to get mad over but I was really hoping that one particular girl would make it till the end. Oh well, I'm sure it will be somewhere on the Internet today. It rained here all night but has stopped now. I think we're supposed to have rain all week. I wish my grass would hurry up and turn green. I'm so tired of the "hay" color it becomes during winter. Well, the coffee just finished perking so I'm gonna go get me a cup and watch TV for a while. Hopefully I can stay awake THIS time!! Ya'll have a good Tuesday! :grouphug: |
Kitty, he sent the virgin home. LOL I can't remember her name.
Morning all. I am taking mom to the neuro today and then some shopping. It's snowing but we're only getting 1-2 inches. That darn groundhog saw his shadow. Why do we keep torturing ourselves? hahaha Barb, we're not voting. We wont complain since we're not voting but honestly we cannot decide who we want to vote for. Wiz, have a good day at work! Vonn, glad you can stay on the Copax. Hope you get a ton of tax jobs! Holly and Trish, I know! I can't even sit that way! Pam, Jim's on Beta too and his enzymes are fine so far. Have a good day everyone. |
Thanks, Sandy! I sort of thought that might be who left but you never know what he's going to do!
|
Good Morning! It is election day here in Illinois (primary).
Sandy, I was torn on who to vote for also, but ended up going. I may actually end up voting for a few candidates from the "other" party in November. Don't tell anyone I said that!:D I have a feeling turnout will be really low since there has been so much negativity. A lot of people are not happy with either choice in the Democratic governor or senate race. I think there is a good chance that the Democrats will lose both the governorship and U.S. Senate seat in November. We had a sales tax referendum on the ballot that is for education that I wanted to vote for. I have been getting ready for my Congress class. Other than that not much is going on here. I am experiencing the February blahs! |
Morning all :) Sorry I haven't been checking in as much, but trying to do a bit more here and there around the homestead. Finished a painting this morn, waiting for the last trickle of tax stuff to come in (why does it seem like financial institutions are the ones that famously wait for the deadline day to send stuff out? LOL), trying to get meds situated on a dose that works for me, and plan on calling neuro if I don't get a card in the mail today regarding my MRI. (I'm assuming since I've heard nada that it's stable, but still would like to be informed). And I have a meeting tonight. :)
Sandy, sorry to hear that it didn't work out having your mom there. Hope that things will turn out ok for everyone.:hug: Vonn, sorry to hear about the liver stuff still being wonky.:hug: Everyone, :grouphug::grouphug: |
Mom's appointment went well. He released her to go back home. He said she is not disabled, does not have Alzheimer's or dementia and should be able to be on her own.
He said all of this is related to her brain tumor and surgery and is not a condition that needs to be monitored by a neurologist. He said her primary is all she needs. If she were having constant seizures he would say she needed a neurologist but for now he is confident she is fine. He said as long as she has friends and family to check on her and make sure she divided her meds correctly she should never have a seizure again. I said if she messes up again I am taking her butt to court and getting custody and she's going to assisted living. He laughed and told mom to get a restraining order on me. hahahahahaha In all seriousness, we needed to hear this. Now we feel better about taking her home. He even offered to continue being her neurologist from up here and would work with her primary if needed. Very nice doctor. |
Sandy, your Mom's fortunate to have you looking out for her. I hope she realizes that. I'm glad the doctor reassured you (and her) that she can live independently. And I'm glad you both heard the same thing at the same time. That helps more than anything I'm sure.
|
Sandy - good to hear about what the doctor said about your mom .. when do you plan on moving her back?? in spring??
already done a bunch of returns ... don't know what day it is anymore - they all squish together now until mid-March .. then slam ... nothing for another 2 weeks .. then about 2-3 at the end ... and then I'll be looking to move with the tax $$ ... yep - back on my shots! first day! love it! we'll see what the neuro says around Feb 17th when she gets back ... probably have to go for more blood - just refer to me as "Dracula's Candy" ... :D |
Sandy, That is good news about your mom. :)
Vonn, :hug::hug: |
Finn....what were you doin' up at 2:30 AM?? Oh well, I was up, too. :o
It's a pretty, sunny day here today but that's gonna change real soon. We're forecast for cold rain and possible snow by Friday. It seems like Feb & March are the 2 months where we get the most winter precip. I have to admit that I'm ready for Spring. NOT Summer.....just Spring. Temps that don't need the A/C or the heater. We'll get about 1 week of that. I dread the summer. I used to love it and was outside all the time. My ON seems to be getting better day by day. I want to see how good my vision is to see if I can drive again. Maybe I'll take a spin around the neighborhood and see how it goes. Anyone watch American Idol last night? It was okay.....didn't really see anyone exceptional. It seems they aren't showing as many of the good ones that get through.....except them coming out of the audition with a yellow ticket. Why don't they let us see them perform??? I didn't really need to see Bikini Boy!! Scary!! Ya'll have a good Wednesday. :grouphug: |
good morning all.........
still feeling carpy.:( The next two days are very busy so I hope I wake up tomorrow feeling better.:) On Friday I will be going on a field trip with the first grade. Once a month they will be visiting a local rest home. Each child will be assigned a "grand buddy". We will make crafts and read stories and have a snack with the elderly folks. I hear it is rewarding for both the kids and grownups alike. I cant wait to help. I hope I feel better.:) kel....what up with bikini boy? whats wrong with these people? I want to see the good singers too! sandy....glad everything is all working out with mom...she is young and she has alot of living left to do. Now she can do it in her own space!:) vonn...hugs:hug: barb...yup I have the feb blahs too....it doesnt help that I feel like carp! fin....good for you...getting a lot done is a good thing!:) tricia, pam, moo, holly, wiz, sarah, debd, weav....happy hump day! |
Sox, that is such a good idea for the kids to do that! :)
Kitty, glad your ON is getting better. ~~~~ Morning all :) To answer the question of the late night visit, I had an attack of the spasm monster last night. Try to get comfy, back would start fluttering. Roll over, it's the legs. etc. etc. Stayed up until totally exhausted enough that it no longer mattered that some invisible drummer from a rock band had invaded my body. :D So running on a little less sleep than usual. Drinking my coffee and will take the day one moment at a time. Take care everyone! :grouphug::grouphug: |
Morning all! :grouphug: I work 9:30 to 7pm today. I got my Medco RX cards so I get to set up all of my prescriptions on the new plan. Wish me luck with that, lol. See ya all later! :grouphug:
|
Hi ya'll. Hugs for everyone. Well last night I found another reason to leave home for the evening, at least once a month. Knit night! The group does some really fun sounding things other times too.
Looks like snow season is here. If I knew when spring weather was going to arrive for good I would start counting the days now. I loathe cold and frozen precip of all forms. Oh Spring... Where for art thou? :sunchair: Have a warm one! |
I was right - MRI was normal for me. Trying to figure out what to do from here, or just chalk it up to the MS or Fibro since nothing showed. Debating.
Now to find some lunch and do the wonderful rifle through my art reciepts. Gotta love tax season. At least I'm organizing them to make it a bit easier for the accountant. Take care everyone. :grouphug::grouphug: |
Morning all! Just swept the floors and mopped. The house smells like Pine-Sol Lemon and Murphy's Oil. Much better than the clammed up, windows not open smell. Argh where is the spring?
Speaking of spring, my neighbor called last night and informed me we will start working on the pond in March. He also informed me we are hitting the local nursery in April. He's such a ham and keeps me organized. LOL It does give me something to look forward to and a promise of better weather to come. Hope everyone is having a good day. Mom just yelled out she can get a flight for $40. LOL :grouphug: |

I've spent the morning on the hunt for DS a suit. Why do size 16/18 boys suits look like something a pimp would wear?? The ones at Penney's look like mobster style. I'm thinking he's going in dress pants/shirt/tie. Tomorrow I check out Kohls. Our warm weather is flipping back to freezing and messy precipitation by Friday. My poor flower bulbs must be getting so confused. Some are already putting up green shoots. :grouphug: |
Good afternoon, everyone...I've been lurking a bit...reading all posts, but can't remember a darn thing posted...I went for my 12 week post op checkup...and I've been released!! Yahoo!! :D:D I can exercise, swim, and other stuff;) DH is thrilled beyond belief...I went out to look the pond over, and the heater had gone off:eek: The circuit breaker had been tripped, but it won't stay off...so I plugged an extension cord in and we'll see if the heater works after a couple of hours...poor fishies...My senate candidate for Illinois didn't win in the primary:(* I hate holding my nose when I vote...he was one of the honest ones...We're going to have my inlaws over for their anniversary this weekend. 66 years...my gosh, I can't imagine living with someone that long...:rolleyes:I'm going to make one of their favorites that they never get anymore...cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, and sweet corn. Simple enough...then we'll play cards...it gets them out of their place for an evening, and they don't have to worry about spilling down the front (FIL) or trying to interprete what we're saying by lip reading (MIL), at least in a public place. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday evening!!:D
By the way, isn't this thread becoming long? Isn't it about time for a new, updated version? |
