Wiz ... my enzyme levels are still high ... and they didn't go down as much as they would of hoped with me being off of copax for a week .. so, I can go back on ...

and I don't take ace...-mine and haven't had a beer since .. uh ... September!

they don't know why - and it's not hepatitis, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis ... just added fibromyalgia ...

in the meantime, they have no idea WHY ... so, I'll be a test patient .. because they CT scanned me and biopsy'd me - and that all showed nothing!! I will not die of a liver disease ...

have another one of those headaches - light sensitivity ... glare ...

Sandy - ain't that great about the paper shuffle being over?? and LOL - I have ALWAYS sit like she does .. never could sit regular Indian-style!

hollym 02-01-2010 09:51 PM

Sandy - My first thought when I saw that picture was "how is she sitting like that?". That is amazing. I have trouble with that at 39-11/12's (I'm holding onto 39 for as long as I can). She looks cute like that.

Wiz, glad you had a successful day!

Sox, I hope you feel better soon!

Jackie, I too am trying to lose weight and increase exercise. I lose 5 gain 5.

Sandy, the legs were the first thing I noticed. Reminded me of how my 14 yr old son sits on the dojo floor! :)

Vonn, thanks for the info. I need to go back through and recheck all the data entered. I'm hoping for a typo :p. I hope you figure out what is driving up your liver enzymes. Mine were higher this last checkup, but I am on Betaseron. Doc didn't seem worried...he just said we worry when it's 5 times normal.

:grouphug: to everyone!

Good morning everyone!

Sox - Hope you feel better soon!

Wiz - I am glad you are enjoying your job! You sound so happy and I think that is so awesome. Don't worry about making mistakes - we all make them when starting something new.

Vonn - Congrats on the MBA progress! How awesome is that. Hope they can resolve the liver issue soon and I'm glad you were able to go back on the C.

Sandy - Heck! I sit like that all the time. LOL j/k I do, however, sit Indian style when I'm on the floor. When I was in PT for the muscle spasms, the PT kept saying how limber and flexible I was.:confused: I don't know how with the muscles being stuck in the spams. My leg would only go so far and then stop.

Holly - 39 11/12ths - :D:D That's funny.

Jackie & TKTC - Good luck on the weight loss. DBF just went through that. He lost a lot of weight and looks fantastic; but it was really hard for him. Before he went on this crazy diet I reviewed other diets. Apparently the Biggest Loser diet is the best according to several nutritionists. I looked it over and it doesn't seem too bad. Just an idea for you both.

Hi everyone else! Thinking of you too!

Today I am going to finish up my homework, meet with Disabled Student Services to do my "accommodations," and await for dictation to come in as this is my busy time.

Have a great day everyone!:hug::grouphug:

Good Morning! I'm so mad at myself this morning. I forced myself to stay awake last night so I could watch The Bachelor (I know....:o) and what did I do??? Fell asleep DURING the rose ceremony and didn't get to see who had to go home! Anybody know who went home?

I know, it's a ridiculous thing to get mad over but I was really hoping that one particular girl would make it till the end. Oh well, I'm sure it will be somewhere on the Internet today.

It rained here all night but has stopped now. I think we're supposed to have rain all week. I wish my grass would hurry up and turn green. I'm so tired of the "hay" color it becomes during winter.

Well, the coffee just finished perking so I'm gonna go get me a cup and watch TV for a while. Hopefully I can stay awake THIS time!!

Ya'll have a good Tuesday! :grouphug:

Kitty, he sent the virgin home. LOL I can't remember her name.

Morning all. I am taking mom to the neuro today and then some shopping. It's snowing but we're only getting 1-2 inches. That darn groundhog saw his shadow. Why do we keep torturing ourselves? hahaha

Barb, we're not voting. We wont complain since we're not voting but honestly we cannot decide who we want to vote for.

Wiz, have a good day at work!

Vonn, glad you can stay on the Copax. Hope you get a ton of tax jobs!

Holly and Trish, I know! I can't even sit that way!

Pam, Jim's on Beta too and his enzymes are fine so far.

Have a good day everyone.

Kitty 02-02-2010 10:13 AM

Thanks, Sandy! I sort of thought that might be who left but you never know what he's going to do!

barb02 02-02-2010 11:04 AM

Good Morning! It is election day here in Illinois (primary).

Sandy, I was torn on who to vote for also, but ended up going. I may actually end up voting for a few candidates from the "other" party in November. Don't tell anyone I said that!:D I have a feeling turnout will be really low since there has been so much negativity. A lot of people are not happy with either choice in the Democratic governor or senate race. I think there is a good chance that the Democrats will lose both the governorship and U.S. Senate seat in November. We had a sales tax referendum on the ballot that is for education that I wanted to vote for.

I have been getting ready for my Congress class. Other than that not much is going on here. I am experiencing the February blahs!

FinLady 02-02-2010 11:25 AM

Morning all :) Sorry I haven't been checking in as much, but trying to do a bit more here and there around the homestead. Finished a painting this morn, waiting for the last trickle of tax stuff to come in (why does it seem like financial institutions are the ones that famously wait for the deadline day to send stuff out? LOL), trying to get meds situated on a dose that works for me, and plan on calling neuro if I don't get a card in the mail today regarding my MRI. (I'm assuming since I've heard nada that it's stable, but still would like to be informed). And I have a meeting tonight. :)

Sandy, sorry to hear that it didn't work out having your mom there. Hope that things will turn out ok for everyone.:hug:

Vonn, sorry to hear about the liver stuff still being wonky.:hug:

Everyone, :grouphug::grouphug:

Mom's appointment went well. He released her to go back home. He said she is not disabled, does not have Alzheimer's or dementia and should be able to be on her own.

He said all of this is related to her brain tumor and surgery and is not a condition that needs to be monitored by a neurologist. He said her primary is all she needs. If she were having constant seizures he would say she needed a neurologist but for now he is confident she is fine.

He said as long as she has friends and family to check on her and make sure she divided her meds correctly she should never have a seizure again. I said if she messes up again I am taking her butt to court and getting custody and she's going to assisted living. He laughed and told mom to get a restraining order on me. hahahahahaha

In all seriousness, we needed to hear this. Now we feel better about taking her home. He even offered to continue being her neurologist from up here and would work with her primary if needed. Very nice doctor.
