hello I am jeff I have had a pinched nerve marelgai paraesthetica bad I have tremors for facet joint arthritus had an epidural shot in spine to I was unable to walk stand turn my kneck 32 weeks of it still have pinced nerve the driveing moving electrical like shock feeling on my leg wow also walking in walmart pushing a shopping cart only coiuld do it for 15 minutes i would put a cold wet towel on my back it would ease the pain I could not wear clothing it gets so bad some fibromyalga too bad I still have it now i have neuropthapy in my feet from diabetes type 2 my philbitus too I have been almost to the point of totally disabled I am having it hard trying to complete a day just way too much going on with me hey I am going to a diabetes group in our local hospital to talk as a group with this disease you should check your local hospitals go to a group you may get some advise good luck from jeff *edit*they have a chat group there nice good luck take my advise please !nerry xmass and happy newyear to you hope you get better

Nope...just lucky enough to have a dx of fibro and MS...once in a while I get the tremors, but they don't last long...
Welcome!! There is lots of info, support, hugs and laughs...

Yes....I have had fibromyalgia for 18 years and essential tremor since early 1980's. The tremors have gotten much worse in the last 3 years, even more disabaling than the fibromyalgia. The usual drugs have not helped and have terrible side affects. I am not very drug tolerant, so not surprising. DBS has been discussed, but sounds very scary. Have you had any success with treatment?

I recently began taking Ativan as well for muscle spasms and this really does help the tremors. Even though I am on gabapentin, I still had fine tremors. But the Ativan (lorazepam) seems to really stop all the tremors (MS and essential). I only take a small amount as needed (0.5 mg). I don't tolerate meds well either but I have been able to tolerate the Ativan with no side effects. I hope they find something that will work for you. |
