What a lovely post, Momma! I'm glad you were able to share your secret talent with your whole family, especially your dear grandma.
My own mother never sang because she was convinced she didn't have a good voice. However, when she was an old, old lady, her dementia made her forget her harsh self-assessment. One day I visited her at the nursing home and found a hymn book in the piano bench. I began to play the familiar tunes and she began to sing! Mom couldn't hold a conversation, she rarely remembered my name, but she knew all the words to those hymns and she was singing!!! Thanks for helping me to remember that day.
