I thought I'd share a few pictures of Billy's newest market wethers. He had to pick them on Sunday because the breeder was overran with babies. They are 2 months old, and are doing great. Snow and Eve have not kidded yet (Snow should be soon, Eve won't be for another month). We lost our Daisy in January, and this was so unexpected and sad. I do have a deposit on two new show Nubians for Becky, so it should help her with the loss of Daisy.
So, introducing the new kids on the block - the red is Frankie and the traditional red head with white is "The Beast". So far, they are a bit skittish (like all market wethers seem to be), but are settling in well. While Frankie is smaller and younger then "The Beast", he seems to be in charge. They seem very sweet, especially the look in their eyes. Here they are still in Billy's truck -
Isabella, my granddaughter, just happened to be stopping by on her way back to her mom's. She got her first look at "other kids". She was giggling and seemed to like them.
Kids in their stall in the barn -
Can't forget about Mac, Kipp and Herbie. Here they are modeling their new collars -
I can't believe how grey my Mac is getting. He turns 7 this July!!!!
The breeder we got Billy's kids from sent me an email last night with pics of two of her newest kids. She is very excited to have Billy showing her lines, and thought of him right away with these two kids. She's about 3 hours away from us, but well worth the drive. We are seriously concerning the paint boy - Billy has a traditional and a solid, so the paint would be awesome. He is also put nicely together for only being a day old, very flashy and has a black tip on his white tail! Keep your fingers crossed she can give us a good deal on the paint!!
