Do you like to polish your nails ladies? How do you keep them? I think it's something small, but can have a big impact on one's mood, at least it does for me. I just made a new nails blog and it's in my signature, called Nail Soup and it's been a great deal of fun for me. It really lifts my spirits to polish my nails. Here are a few pics of recent polish jobs, starting with what I have on them now to older ones:
Would love to know what you think of my blog and to hear your thoughts on nail polishing and nail art. I would really love to see any pics you have of your latest manicures! I used to be a nail tech twenty years ago so I really have a lot to write about on the blog. Thought I would share this here to see how many of our NT ladies use polish regularly.

Whoa! you go all out! I voted that I do love to keep them polished. Usually I just keep a clear coat on them. My nails are so thin they need the extra build up to keep them from chipping.

I don't always do nail art, actually these two animal print polish jobs are the first I've done in twenty years if you can believe it. But it's like riding a bike, you never really forget how to do it.

I dont polish my nails. I have long strong beautiful nails, and many have been envious thru the years, but I worked in the medical field and had to keep them short and trimmed, or they would pop thru the end of my gloves. It wasnt worth the risk to expose myself to inmate blood just for nice nails. No one was going to see them anyway. I do get the occasional mani, but I always choose buff. if someone demands polish I would choose clear.
I think some of the nails I see are wonderful and creative, but others make me wonder how these girls can get anything done. How do you dial the phone? text? type? wipe? eeek! Let alone private things. no no no, im afraid!

Yeah some women definitely take it too far. I enjoy nail art but don't like artificial nails at all. I don't let mine get much longer then they are in the pics. I agree, it's definitely NOT worth exposing yourself to inmate bodily fluids to have nice long nails. Not even close to worth it. Thanks for posting Dejibo!

Welcome to NeuroTalk lowtide! I am so glad you joined us here. I know you've been an avid artist for many years now, and this is the only area I can get creative with paints, I just can't do it on canvas, but my nails on the other hand, I really can get into that! So happy to see you here!

Wow!! That is amazing!!!
I do the old fashioned polish job, usually only when away on vacation...my nails are so thin I can't keep them long enough to polish them...and doing dishes, cleaning around the house, etc ruins them too.
