Heres another funny thing going on there. I went over there and saw a person who was looking for a man who used to post there Larson is his name. Well I posted her that there was some information over here and she replied that she couldn't read my message and sent it back for me to clarify.

I nearly died laughing. It seems they have taken any reference to this site and banned it. the address had http://.....................com. I told her to email me and gave her my addy which she did and now has gotten the info she wanted but the mere fact of what a length they have gone to over there to do exactly what is baffling.

An idiot is minding the store.

Thumbs down yes...

They are blocking links to NT over there. My informational posts are blocked too.

There is a discussion here about this situation on the Gluten forum here.

I just went there as a guest... 8 members logged on and about 80 guests.
The general index does not load well...didn't load at all yesterday. But with
waiting today, it did load for me after some time.

Somehow none of this is a "surprise" is it?

I had always thought that the only links that were frowned on there, as here, were ones that basically solicited "come on over to the other place"

Informational and helpful links to other forums, should never be blocked by one forum to another IMHO, and if the link is felt out of place, mods can always nicely ask that the links be exchanged via PM rather than on the forum

But filtering out the links??? I am puzzled by that!

There is more than enough room on the Internet for many support and exchange of information/experience forums like these, especially as many members use a network of forums to meet their needs.

Our welcome mat is always out and our door open...

I no longer even read that site, since they decided to hide their Sanctuary for Spiritual Support. Blocking a link to this site seems a little childish to me, but whatever.

If they are losing members or activity at the board, it's probably because of interference from the moderators. Even if they mean well, it usually complicates matters. It's confusing to observers, and it's frustrating for posters. Why post if it's going to be edited or deleted?

I won't go into details, but in my own case I think it could have easily been resolved if the moderators had allowed us and others to speak. Separating us and reprimanding us only made it worse for everyone. As the saying goes (although I'll clean it up a little), "spats happen." They happened before, we talked it out, and I thought we grew a little closer in the end - like families do.

Speaking for myself, my emotions go into overdrive when I'm in extreme physical or emotional pain - don't think I'm alone. However, I would NEVER want to hurt anyone here or step on their toes. If I do, I would appreciate it if you let me know and I'll back off.

So Clouds, you still riding that bike?
