[Momma's Kids]

Hello my sweeties!! It sho has been awhile since I've sat in this ole swing. The weather is gettin cooler and the trees are sheddin their clothes for a winter's sleep. The road has been bumpity bump, rickity rocky and never ending, or so it seems. This to shall pass, you know that is a sho nuff true saying. I can't say what it passes into but sho does pass. I had quite a few friends leave this world and others not doing well, and family that suffered from strokes to Rocky Mountain Fever. It sho has been a while.

Ole Fletch was caught peepin in his neighbor's window, again. I sho hope Mrs Fletch don't find out. Lord knows last time he spent two weeks in the IC and then two more under patient care. He was covered with knuckle bumps from head to toe and few places we won't mention. The missus, bless her soul is built like an offspring of a dump truck and army tank. She got hands that can choke a chicken with two fingers, I know I sho wouldn't want to be on her bad side even on her good days. Pa used to say she had a face that made water cringe and run, she has to beat her feet to make em git in bed with her. I sho sound unchrischun like, I ain't meaning no harm. She got a beautiful inside more than any runway model.

She got a heart that is as beautiful as a sunny day, and she got a peaceful calming spirit that can make a soul feel blessed when all it wants is to wither away. She has taken care of a many youngun when their ma couldn't. She put hot meal on many a table when folks didn't have enough to feed their babies. Yep, it sho goes without saying, can't judge a book, but all folks do.

People can't get past the tattoos, body piercing and purple spiky hair to see what is under it all. I got a butterfly tattoo on my right ankle to remind me that MS is beautiful. What, Chile? You don't think there is nothin beautiful bout MS? Oh baby, sho there is. MS takes a lot from you, but it gives back, it sho does.

Look at this ole swing and how many folks have sat in it just to forget for a time what is going on all around them. To jest lay back on a nice big pillow in the beginning of spring when the trees start dressin up and the flowers begin to pop out their heads to see whats a coming. That ole swing moves all by itself like the hand of God is rocking you to sleep. If you leave off that loud ipod, you can hear nature's music. The singing of a blue jay, spot a red bird and sometimes you hear another note coming from the flapping of wings or the rustle of leaves gently talking to you.

When all the childrens get up here and clamor, pushing, pulling and swigglin to get a good spot. They giggle and squeal, specially those girls when J Miller tries to put a lizard or frog on them. You got friends you thought you never would have, and they understand like nobody else. They send you good thoughts, prayer and hugs when all the world has forgotten you still here, even tho they ain't read yo obituary in the Mullet page. Do you see now chile how MS can be beautiful? It gives you people in your life you otherwise would never know. The mullet page? Oh, that is jest an ole saying cause fish was wrapped in news papers, guess it still is in some parts. So, if you got your name or picture in the paper...you were on the mullet page.

It sho is a wonder sometimes what life is about. Mrs Fletch ain't no purty, but she is on the inside, ole Fletch he ain't meaning no harm and wouldn't hurt fly nor snake if it bit him. He just nosy bout his neighbors. People are afeared of what they don't understand, just cause you all tattooed up don't mean you a bad person. But the greatest wonder in life is you find out who is truly yo friend when God gives more than you think you can carry in a bucket. He puts people in yo life that can help you get through the bad times, jest like this ole swing when it rocks you back and forth.

Well, I got to get in the kitchen and feed that starter if I'm baking my bread come mornin. No, chile, you jest lay back here with this light quilt and rest awhile, I can get it done. The days are getting cooler and this ole quilt has seen a bunch of ole leaves falling and even some new ones being put back on.
You sweet darlins take care and remember Momma luvs each and everyone of yall...yes even J Miller. He reminds me of me when I was a tad pole, always into something. Take care now and I'll be watching over ya even when you don't know it.

When I logged on and saw your post my eyes filled with happy tears. Just reading this probably lowered my blood pressure by several points!

Well, I sho nuff hope all you darlins had a good Christmas, I know some of you deserved some coal in yer stockings but I'm glad you got different. Kitty, I was thinking about that picture. I have some family wants me to draw them...Lord knows they ain't all that purty, but I'll get er done!!
Sparky, now chile where did you get a I'm a Momma's Kid shirt? lol I have one that is way too big and never been worn. Got nice long denim sleeves, but I have never put it on...why, we'd look like twins.

Whay, J Miller run off, well daizy my lazy, that's why its all quiet here. I thought I was in heaven, did no it weren't true cause I didn't see no angels wings.
I can't say how much you will be seeing me SallyC, but maybe a little. I started on Rebif, dang if I can remember to stick a bee sting three days a week. I done gone and missed two weeks or more...it was easier when it was everyday. That new doc I been seeing told me I had to take something cause I was lapsing way to much. I told her...you don't know how many youngins I got. You'd be lapsin too and often. lol

I sho is hoping it will do something other than turn red, then blue!!
We all sho is special in a special kind of way, that be the Lord's truth. Well, I need to get some rest.
