Many thanks to EVERYONE who ever served their time to protect what makes the USA so very unique (realizing some of the really good folks here are from other great countries too-and absolutely no disrespect intended to any of you!) However, I again want to thank all those who today look back and wonder all those "what ifs" about their time in the combat zone. And God bless all those who didn't come home to their families and good friends. You didn't die in vain.

It is nearly 3 my time. I will be taking that minute to reflect on the service you and so many have provided at great cost to yourselves and your families. I am ever grateful to the warriors who care for us and maintain freedom and safety throughout the world. Thank you for the eloquent reminder about what is really important on this day.

On watching movies, you are not alone. My husband served and saw many a tragic occurrence, he ends up watching half the marathon of movies every year. Just can't help it, I guess. There is something about bearing witness to the service and brotherhood even in film that just seems right.
