Default 3 hrs of gold raining down this morning here

A sound we don't hear much and so needed...we are in a 4 yr drought and so much destruction in No. cal with the recent out of control fires.

This rain was gold but a drop in the bucket but so needed. The animals and plants are doing a dance. Not to mention we humans.

Sad to here of the fires out there. You need of the rain in Utah coming your way. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Having spent time in Cal I know how dry it can get and even that little bit of rain must be a relief. I have old friends in South Cal I keep in touch with and have been following the news of the fires - I remember the fire many years ago that came down Laguna Canyon right to the beach.
Hope you have some more rain soon.

Thanks for your comments. I remember Malibu fires that to me seemed to get too close to my santa monica home. Very frightening to say the least. Then there is the ground shaking....but I love it here and as so many people have said over the years I've been here, California is a state of mind.
