I have not tuned into a superbowl game for many many yrs...does not interest me anymore...a friend said she was going to watch, so I turned it on just when half time started and omg, the noise, I turned it off, went to discovery station. I later watched a little of the game, but could not get into it for a second. Plus, I'm turned off to these concussion causing sports....What people paid for this show, good grief...could feed thousands of hungry people....my 2cents.

An estimated 170million+ watched at least part of the Super Bowl Worldwide - it cost me nothing extra on top of my compulsory Annual License for which the BBC provides quality tv and radio programmes. All Sport is Big Business, generating $Billions in turnover Worldwide every year. There are titanic battles between dedicated athletes who devote their short careers to maintaining peak fitness and achieving all they can. Few reach the Pinnacle. At the other end are the Amateurs who play for the love of whatever Game they choose - millions of average people everywhere. Without this Industry, for that is what it is, the money would not be spent on the poor or starving, it would be locked up in Stocks and Shares as The Rich get richer. And the rest of us would be more miserable and bored having lost the distractions Sports bring. Dave.

Dave, I did my share of sports watching, but I'm beyond it now. A sign of my times I'm sure. My years were when the athletes made $1000's and today it's $millions...yahn...
I loved the Lakers back in the 70's...Jerry West and his gang. |

The money is sports these days is obscene & my love for any sport these days has dwindled a tad, however, I will leave the discussion with an important quote;
