Did anyone happen to watch "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" on HBO last weekend? The American Indians I know who watched it were pretty furious over the inaccuracies - especially those from the Standing Rock and Cheyenne River reservations.
HBO usually does a good job with historical films (Rome, Band of Brothers) and films in general (Sopranos, etc.). They missed an excellent opportunity with this one. Why do you think so little effort was put into this? If you liked it, what did you like about the film? |
