Lor:
The first video tape recorder was invented in 1956. I had no idea. That is so interesting. And did YOU know that you have the same name as Data's evil android twin in the Star Trek Generations tv series.??? lol Melody

Do you mean "Data" is a character in the show (I don't watch it). Is her evil android twin named "lor"?

Oh my goodness, I am showing my age now aren't I??
Star Trek Generations was a sci-fi show many many years ago. Data was a male android with an evil twin brother. His name was LORE. I just googled it and got the correct spelling. You are obviously not a Trekkie, are you??? And actually, they prefer to be called Trekkers. Well, I'm a bonafide Star Trek trekker. Know the dialogue of every episode. Never forgot them. And I certainly can't believe that Ampex Corp discovered the first videotape recorder. I must look that up. That is so interesting. Thanks, Melody

My DH is a trekkie (U aren't old). We have this 'cute' Xmas ornament that is Spock's craft. You press the little button & it says "Starcraft to enterprise, Starcraft to enterprise, come in enterprise, Spock here. Happy Holidays, live long and prosper". And the voice sounds like Spock.

Now that is adorable.
I have original Star Trek Action figures and stuff (still in original plastic cases that I just might put up on ebay) I can only imagine an ornament with Spock's voice coming out of it. Live Long and Prosper (that's Vulcan speak) lol Melody
