Hey all! Sitting here watching Randy Travis on Regis and Kelly singing a sad song about dying. It's really pretty but a little too sad for me.

Anyway, Frank, I pm'd you the story. lol

Vonn, glad your all moved in.

Trish, it went well and I am all young again. lol I am over 90% gray if you can believe that! I am only 42 years old! All the women and men gray early so it is genetic.

Renee, hope your feeling better today. I have never waited that long to update Deers or get an id card. WOW! I was sent home once after driving two hours because Jim wasn't with me and I pitched a fit but it didn't work and I had to come back with him. They are different now and I can go it alone.

Greta, do you know when you'll be moving out of the house?

Everyone else who hasn't posted yet, have a great day and hope your feeling well!

My update isn't special. Just cleaning today and getting ready to see Joel Osteen tomorrow at the United Center. Really looking forward to that because we really like him.

Mornin' all. Can't seem to wake up and get moving for some reason. Need to quit watching junk on TV till the wee hours of the morning. Bet that would help. My plans for today are virtually the same as yesterday. Didn't get as much done then as I should have.

A note about DS and the clothing return I need to make. I had him try on everything at the store but didn't check things myself for fit. He is 12 after all and we try on clothes at least twice a year. Silly me thought the kid knew if it was tight or hard to get on it was too small and he needed to go up at least one size.

lol, I put together a fancy-dancy swing-set for my little girl 26 years ago, and I REMEMBER that... I was soooooooooo excited because I had no parts left over when I was done... that means I did it right, right ??

today is my oldest sean michaels bday
now that's cool, that's my nephew's name... Sean Michael... as our brother is named Michael...

so, my sister's son carries that middle name, and also MY son, who is Matthew Michael.

it's a proud and beautiful name, from the Archangel.

mi esposo is two years younger than me, and he's gone completely gray, with a bunch ofl WHITE in there...

luckily, his genetics involve little 'male pattern baldness' so he has a full head of glossy whitish grayish beautiful hair... and he earned every single strand of gray and white, lol !

now me, my hair used to be dishwater blonde, so now it's kind of darkened, with splotchy gray, but real hairdressers are a rarity in the jungle, so I've just let it sorta go to seed...

Lost 1.8 pounds this week for a total of 5.4 pounds on 4 weeks. The weight loss seems slow, but I guess it is better than gaining 5 pounds in one month.:p

I have book group tonight and tomorrow I am going to see Momma Mia with a friend. I saw a live performance of it in Vegas several years ago and loved it. Meryl Streep is in it (the movie), and I think that just about every movie she is in is decent.

Kay -- I am sorry you have to go through the whole bureaucaratic rigamrole again tomorrow. I hope you finally get your passports back and do not have to wait too long.

Sandy -- Have a good time at your concert tomorrow. Who is Joel Osteen? I am so out if it as far as popular music goes. I am stuck somewhere in the 70s.

Tricia -- Good luck with your kitten. Cats really seem to understand how to best annoy people.

Vonn -- Hope you are settling in and not overdoing it.

Hope everyone is doing ok and that the heat/humidity is not doing too much of a number on you.

Just googled Joel Osteen. Now I understand why I have never heard of his music. Geeze!
I am so out if it!

Hi everyone! Feeling good, but tired from my weekly water aerobics class. LOL, talk about a catch 22. Feels great, but wears ya down at the same time. Managed to get in a few chores as well, which is always good.

Tonight is hubby's much deserved break and poker time to hang with the boys. It's a stress reliever for him, so very willing to let him go have fun.

Just gonna keep hiding in the house from the heat. Just the short trip out was not fun. Never thought I'd sympathize with ice cream melting on a summer's day, LOL.

~~~~~~
Renee, LOL. my hubby likes Jager, but since I don't like licorice - ick. I'm a tequila or rum kind of girl. :D
Sandy, you guys go to some of the best concerts. Have fun!!
Kay, ick. sorry to hear about your day. That would make me nervous too without the passport. Hope you get it back soon.
Barb, have fun going to the movie. Let us know if it's any good. :)
Everyone, have a great evening. sorry if I missed anyone. :grouphug:
Barb, I was about to write a big reply on who he is. lol Jim and I started watching him on Sunday's when it became difficult for Jim to get out on Sunday mornings so early. We also had a hard time finding a church we clicked with around here so Joel fits our lifestyle. :D We're sitting in nose bleed seats but I am sure the spirit will make it up there too. ;) We are also staying at a hotel closer to downtown Chicago so the driving isn't too much on me or Jim.
Maybe I will get lucky and they will have better seats like at Kid Rock. hahahahaha
Whoops! Update on Jim. The Septra is resistant to the bacteria and the doctor called in Levaquin. Has anyone tried that antibiotic?
I laughed out loud at this statement on the drug: This medication may rarely cause serious nerve problems that may be reversible if identified and treated early. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop any of the following symptoms: pain/numbness/burning/tingling/weakness in any part of the body, changes in how you sense touch/pain/temperature/body position/vibration.
Now, tell me, how in the heck would anyone with ms know if this is happening because of the med? Especially if these are daily symptoms of your ms. lol
barb02 07-17-2008 05:39 PM
Sandy, Cipro says the same thing. Levaquin is one of the three drugs that the FDA put a black box warning on last week regarding tendonitis and rupturing of tendons.
soxmom 07-17-2008 05:54 PM
Sandy, I believe Levaquin is one of the big guns my ds took to get rid
of the mrsa in his knee. I think that it is strong stuff.:(
I hope JIm feels better soon.
:hug:
