Sandy, :hug: Glad you made it home ok and that everything seems to be getting better. The description of your mom's bandage reminded me of learning first aid in girl scouts, LOL. The mummification process that happens. :D

Tara, good to see you back, and that the computer's back up and running. :)

Vonn, Glad to hear you had a good appointment with the neuro.

Kay, Your shopping day sounds like it was fun! Glad you found the tiles to complete your project.

TK, Congrats on the MRI! No change is good. :trampoline:

Renee, Sorry to hear about all the tests coming up, but hope it helps in the long run. :hug:

~~~~
Going to doc this morning. Combo get referrals and find out what I might have. :o Still not feeling too good this morning, but maybe he can prescribe something to help.
The referrals are for heart and bladder. I've had bladder issues for years now and my DH wants to make sure it's not "just the MS" causing this. Due to my reaction to Provigil, everyone wants me to get a stress test for my heart. Sigh. It rains and it pours. And I'm only 34. :eek:
Hope everyone has a great day today! :hug:
Sarah - All that time without the kids. What luxury. Although, in reality it will be bittersweet. When DD's were little and they would go to their dads for a week I would miss them terribly but would enjoy the break at the same time.
Fin - I do hope you start feeling better and the doc can give you something to help you out. It's good that you are getting your heart and bladder checked out. Let us know how it goes.
Kay - I am the same way when I don't take a nap - in bed by 7 but I sleep through the night. You had a very busy day yesterday but it sounds successful. It is wonderful that your neighbor looked out for you and dh. What a good neighbor.
Sandy - Don't listen to Kay. Duct tape would be fine. It's waterproof too. LOL.
Renee - On those dang UTI's! DD17 just had a terrible one. I've only had 1 in my life. However, because of retention issues, my neuro wants me to get some studies done to make sure there is not back flow in the ureters and to see how much "stuff" is left in my bladder after I empty. (Or think I empty). Good luck with the testing. Kay gave some great advice as well.
Vonn - Awesome! It's nice to have a neurologist who will listen, understand, and work with you on the issues at hand. I am happy for you.
Tara - Good to see you back.
Thanks you guys for the congrats. I was pretty excited. Although the lesions are still there and some of them are not small, I was happy. I guess it would be safe to assume that Copaxone had something to do with it.
Today I have to bring DD16 to a tailor to get her Pom Line uniform tailored. I don't trust myself enough to do it as if I screw up, it would take weeks to replace the uniform and she needs it by next Wednesday and next weekend (statewide competitions).
You guys will love this one - The kids have off for the next couple of days because of the rodeo! LOL. Today is the parade and it apparently is the largest non-motorized parade. It's a big thing around here. DD16 was in the parade last year with her Pom Line. Businesses close for the day, no school, people have an excuse to dress as cowboys and cowgirls, and traffic is horrible.
My east coast nephews get such a kick out this. They think it is so dumb. I kind of agree with them. The kids don't get President's Day off but they certainly are off for the rodeo. LOL.
Well, I hope you all have a great day.
NaeNae 02-21-2008 09:50 AM
Teresa-LMAO The town I grew up in has a HUGE rodeo parade not one but two days! July 1st and July 4th...it is one of the PBR stops for the rodeo....but here on the east coast they have a parade for every damned thing LOL so I'm surprised your relatives are surprised!
Sarah- a bed no kids no hubby...Calgon is taking you away! I'm jealous! I actually left Olivia with the neighbor for a couple of hours yesterday...its the first time I have ever left her with a sitter....she loved it! of course neighbor has 4 kids!
Fin- I hear ya sister it sucks to be so young yet feel so old at times! feel better!
FinLady 02-21-2008 09:54 AM
Back from doc. Wants me to stay home for one more day from work. Boss didn't sound too happy, but even though I don't like it much either - listening to the doc. Taking my fluids like a good little girl, even though I'm grumbling - LOL :D
He's a little concerned with the fact that when he presses down on my "emptied" tummy area, I feel like I have to go to bathroom. We talked about the bladder issues and he's going to sign me up to see a specialist.
He's ordering a stress test for me because of the provigil reaction. Unless something shows up on the test, he doesn't think I need to go to a cardio.
Now to put my feet up, maybe watch some "chick" flicks and take a nap or two.
NaeNae 02-21-2008 09:57 AM
Fin- watch No Reservations,hubby bought it for me for Valentines Day and I love it! Glad you don't need to go to the cardio!
I am having same thing but I am also having alot of pressure,frequency and pain in the Hooha in general, doc is checking to see if it is MS related or if I have scar tissue from my c-section or fibroids.
tkrik 02-21-2008 10:16 AM
Fin - I am proud of you for taking the docs advice despite how your boss sounded. Knowing me, I would have caved in and went to work. Good job!
Renee - YUCK! I have fibroids too but I don't feel anything from them. They're just there. I do hope they can find the cause of some of these issues and that it can be easily treated. You are right, you are too young to feel this way.
FinLady 02-21-2008 10:29 AM
Renee, I don't have the movie, but it is playing on our pay per view later. Just treated myself to see it. :) Thanks for the suggestion.
TK, I used to be that way, but have been learning to listen to my body. Better to rest while sick than chance a flare up. Even though I don't like it that much - I'm a stubborn one usually. :o
tkrik 02-21-2008 10:36 AM
LOL, Fin. I am stubborn that way too. MS is not a disease for stubborn people. Maybe that is why God has blessed me with MS. Because I need to learn somethings.
SandyC 02-21-2008 11:21 AM
Sarah - Are you coming down to Hamburger University? I visited my sister when she came up and the hotel is pretty nice.
Fin - You have been through so much. I hope they find nothing to be honest and that you feel better soon. Good for you for staying home even though I know you felt guilty. I used to hate calling into work because even though I was sick I would feel like I was wrong.
Kay - LOL I am not so sure they didn't use duct tape! LOL The last thing I heard was the paper tape wasn't working!
Renee - I hope the testing come out fine but if not, hopefully they will know why your having so many UTI's. They found nothing on Jim. That sucks because we still don't know what's going on.
Vonn - Whoohoo! A doc who listens!!!! Kudos on staying busy busy.
Update: Nothing much today on the agenda. Just some laundry and chilling out. I may even break out some meat for dinner! I got spoiled eating out.
