If you are from Iowa, you will be happy to know that, in aticipation of the tax rebate, I just stimulated your economy by ordering 50 bantam chicks from Murray McMurray.
If you live in Webster City, you can probably hire more employees or make a big profit on your property. You're welcome.

My DH is from Newton (former home of Maytag) and I am from Fort Madison (former home of Sheaffer pens).
We are now retired in Arizona but miss the Hawkeye state except in the wet, snowy, cold Winters oh yeah and muggy Summers too!! Bet those chicks are so cute. We used to live near a game farm with baby quail and those little chicklets were such cuties!! Enjoy those new babies! |

The chicks won't be coming until the first week in May. They'd freeze their little feeties if they came now!

They are a cross between a pet and a hobby, but they are a hobby that lays eggs! We like to give away the "extra" eggs.
Out of fifty, probably half will be roosters, and we'll give those away, maybe keep a couple. Each of the hens will lay an egg about every other day, depending on the size of the hen. This time we ordered white frizzle cochins, sultans, different colors of silkies, and some araucanas (the ones that lay the colored eggs)
