Default wish me luck

I have to take my DD, 6, to have allergy testing done today.

I have explained the test to her so she knows what to expect and she is ok with it in theory, hopefully she'll be ok once they start.

I believe the girl said she would get 3 or 5 in each arm .

I'm very nervous and would love to just put it off but she always seems to have a runny nose just about year round. Plus she had some hearing blockage because of fluid so rather than take the chance of causing permanant damage.....

I'm just nervous, I have already promised to make her Crepes for dinner tomorrow and take her to the store this weekend to buy something .

I just wish I could take the test for her but I know it doesn't work that way .

Good luck Sherrie, Im wishing your little one the best.My ds16 had
the testing done at the age of six too. They actually did it twice
because they thought there was some mistake with the first.

The allergy tech did the test soooo fast that he felt nothing and
had little puffy dots on his forearm for a day. There were about
80 little picks but he didnt even flinch. I think shell do fine. Does
she have additional bloodwork because I recommend you get emla
put on the blood draw site. It really helps. Our pediatrician lets
us walk in to have the nurse apply emla before bloodwork.

thinking of you,

Sox

Hope everything goes ok. I remember being tested as a kid. Didn't like it, but it led to being helped.

Hi Carrie,

She'll be okay. Both of my kids had the allergy testing done together. It did hurt but they did really well, except that they're allergic to darn near everything.

Give her a hug from me!

Hi Carrie

She'll do fine! I know you're worrying cuz you're a mom.

Like soxmom's DS16, I had allergy testing twice so far and had about 40 or so pinpricks in each arm. The ones that reacted, they retested on my back! yeah...what fun. I really didn't feel much more than a pinprick.

The tech did a good job of entertaining me, but as you know I am easily entertained.
