Question Need help on a gift.

My moms 60th birthday is next week, I'm getting her a candy basket (yes I'm cheap, but remember my mom and I aren't the best of friends).
My ? is what "year" basket should I get, the 40's from when she was born, or the 50's from the years she was a kid?

what a cute idea!

never heard of that one...

I vote the 50s, as she's more likely to remember candies from that era.

but those Jujyfruits can be, er, um... "difficult" with bridgework or dentures... not to mention the Abba Dabba bar...

well, she'll have fun with the memories those treats bring, even if she has to pass the CHEWIER ones on to some salivating kids.

Thank you, she doesn't have any dental work to worry about (I hope I got her good genes when it comes to teeth ).

I'd go for the 50s also since she was born in the late 40s and will have memories of the 50s. Cheap!!! I'm sure shipping and the actual item probably isn't cheap!! I find it hard to get my parents something that they don't already have, at their age they seem to have everything they've ever wanted.

I would go with the 50's, when she would have eaten that kind of candy. I think it's a really cool gift!

Thanks everyone, I got the 50's one (the 2nd and bigger one). It was only $29. something & shipping was $12.50, not too bad.
