I'm just not crazy about the idea of GM food. I don't think that the benefits have really been proven - they're still theories at this point (eg, less pesticide use, higher production, etc.) It's not equivalent to the normal process where genes mutate and variations occur over time. There's a reason why different species can't interbreed - and we are reaching far over that line. I definitely think it's an area of research that needs to be investigated, but it's far too early to be introducing these foods onto the market. Somehow, the fact that FDA rubber stamps it's approval doesn't inspire my confidence in GM food.
