Melody,

I'm a guy who watched the infomercial and then began my usual research. I saw some input on the qvc site that I will include here. Didn't sound good.

Hmmm...they wouldn't post my reply with the link because I'm new in here. Sorry. But it was on the QVC website and just do a search there for Monster 1200 and there are some reviews there. None were favorable. Sounded like a piece of junk. :( But I love the fact that you asked for something like this on your anniversary. I'd get killed if I showed up with a gift like this, and my wife is by no means a worldly lady. After 33 years I know the rule well...nothing practical or for the kitchen.

Now, your comments about the steam mop (Shark, I think) interested me. I remember seeing that infomercial quite some time ago and did some research but then forgot about it. Sure looked good on TV, but you know how that can be. So, you really like it? Tell me what you can.

My wife has had a bad back since our second child (21 years ago) and I've been doing the floors ever since. Ok, I can here you ladies laughing that I fell for that. :) So I'm always looking for the next best thing for floors. My wife has RA also and that is a real bummer, though it's now pretty much under control.

Interesting how I fell into this forum talking about a steam cleaner. I guess I'll get an e-mail if you respond.

Well hi there.

If you haven't seen my infomercial on the Shark Steam Mop, click on this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_TkM...eature=channel

Then when you are finished, go over to the right, where it says "more videos by eliz7212" and you'll scroll and then you'll find my other video where I made a carpet glider to attach to the bottom of the Sharm Steam Mop. In that video you can clearly see how it steams up.

I love it, it takes EVERYTHING off of the floor (I have all tile, but a small carpet in my computer room). So for me, being no chemicals are used and it does what it's supposed to do, well I love it.

And as far as my asking for a Steam Cleaner from my husband (I ordered the Monster 1200, they didn't have it in stock, they refunded my money, and I'm happy because I just read what you wrote). So I never did get a Monster 1200.

That's okay, because I use the Sonic Scrubber on everything. I did an infomercial on that too. Go and look at all my videos. I made infomercials on everything that I bought. You'll have a good laugh.

Oh, want to know what I asked Alan to get me for my Christmas present? A frying pan. Want to know why?

Because I have all the perfume I need, all the bath soap I could use, all the lotions, potions, whatever. He has no fashion sense so he can't buy me clothes. He would have gotten me a gift certificate to one of the local spas but honestly, BECAUSE I COOK mostly everything that I grow, and I could really use a good frying pan, I said "get me a frying pan".

Alan responded "are you for real, you want a frying pan for Christmas?" I said "yeah".

Now if I was 30 years old again, I would expect a negligee, but I'm not 30 years old anymore and I need those things.

I NEED A GOOD FRYING PAN.

Oh, can anyone suggest a good one. I gave up on Teflon coated because I was scared of the chipping. But if they make a good one that anybody can recommend, then lease post here.

Christmas is awaiting!!! lol

Mel

A FRYING PAN...that's priceless! I know how that would be used if I brought that home for Christmas! You sound like a lady to die for, Melody. lol

Thanks for the input on the Shark. I watched your video and some others as well and there are mixed reviews, as is usually the case, but looks like it would serve my purpose. Thanks!

Have a Merry Christmas with that frying pan. I remember well one of my mother's specialties in the frying pan...fried apples. Mmmmmmm.
