Default Debbie Meyer Green Bags

Hi. I just bought my latest (as seen on tv) purchase. Got them at CVS.

Made a video so you can see what they look like.

I got 10 large size and 10 medium.

Right now, all my strawberries, tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, asparagus, apples, celery etc. are ALL IN THEIR OWN BAGS.

And they are reusable. So when there is a sale on stuff, I can stock up, because when I put the items in their own bag, they last up to 9 days.

The bags remove ethylene gas so the fruit or veggie doesn't rot so fast.

Supposed to be great with bananas AND ALAN LOVES BANANAS.

Only every time I have bought bananas, they turn rotten real fast.

So this will be a great test.

It's so easy. Just put each fruit or veggie in it's own bag.

Here's what they look like

Do you mind me asking what you paid for them? I have a catalog that's offering them for $9.95 (10 medium and 10 large). I've seen these on TV and often wondered if they work. Let us know how yours do!!

Lightbulb I've had these for years...

I use them only up North (where shopping is inconvenient, and I have to
stock up on fresh produce etc) They work pretty well, but they are not a miracle thing.

I've never needed them here. I use up stuff too quickly.

Paid $9.99 for the box

Absolutely. I will ABSOLUTELY tell you how they work. As a matter of fact, in one week, I will take some out and you can see for yourself, BECAUSE I'LL MAKE A VIDEO OF HOW THE FRUIT LOOKS, AND THE VEGGIES TOO!!!

I'm like Mrs. D. I go through stuff pretty fast. But we just came back from Waldbaums and other stores, and we got blueberries, bananas and some asparagus. My refridgerator never looked so neat and orderly.

GREEN BAGS EVERYWHERE!!! If I had a longer thingee on my webcam, I'd make a video of my fridge.

These bags are very good because I can now organize my produce even better.

See, I'm OCD, and because I changed all my eating habits, my OCD had to go SOMEWHERE, so all I do is clean, steam mop, chop, prep, cook, and put stuff away. I'm like Mrs. Beaver from Leave it to Beaver.

And the best is yet to come. My Monster 1200 shall arrive any day now.

I'll really be testing that thing out.

So to all my green friends, I say a friendly GREENEE Hello!!!!

I bought those lightbulbs. They lasted one week. They also had a yellow tint to them. Now I bought the cheap ones. Under two bucks. I noticed that they sell for $4.99 per lightbult. I have 3 ceiling fans and 12 lightbulbs.

If you think I'm going to spend $4.99 per light bulb, well, it's not going to happen. And I really didn't like the color it gave off. What's with the yellow tinge to it?

Anybody else buy those new Lightbulbs that are supposed to be energy efficient??

Lightbulb the bags...

have been out for a long time. You need to wash them out as well.

What I discovered was that fruit will molder in them. The sugar you know.

The bags are to keep things from ripening. If you put ripe fruit in them I have found little benefit. A modern refrigerator keeps fruit and veggies pretty well IMO. Up north we have a propane frig which does not have a fan to circulate
air. The best success I had was with broccoli and some lettuce. Carrots too.
I did not have good results with strawberries. Bananas were pretty well kept too. At home I never buy more than 3 or 4 at a time.
I keep red peppers, and nectarines/peaches right on the counter in a shady cool place (we are pretty cool there indoors out of the sun).

The claims of up to a month, I didn't find true.

See what you get... however. They seem to have come down in price. I paid more than 9.95 for them about 6 yrs ago.
