Tom

you did not "offend" me....my personal views are not relevant to keeping this thread within our guidelines and within the boundaries for respectful debate on controversial issues

You posted in a manner that was not in keeping with my request to please keep the negativity re people's ethnicity off this thread

Although I am a member here with my own viewpoints, it is not those that influence my requests for posting to be respectful of other members here who may be of the ethnic groups and political views that just a few posters have been denigrating

your post was not in keeping with the administrative request that I had made TWICE above it to stop naming people's nationalities, ethnicity and politics when making disparaging remarks about them

If anyone wishes to continue this discussion, keep it civil. No more naming specific ethnic groups. If you wish to discuss "illegal immigrants" please stop singling out any particular group negatively. People from those countries are also members here and THEY have every right to be offended at seeing such sweeping negative comments made

Here are my posts requesting a civility return to this discussion again to refresh your memory

It would be appreciated to return to the topic without seeing this thread degenerate into a "bash certain nationalities and /or politicans and/or political opinions" endless complaint! Discussing the issues is fine, and OP openly invited discussion.

but negative slurs is not in keeping with the tone of the OP

Just a quick post to explain that I made the edit above as the post followed after my request above to keep the discussion from turning into personal negative remarks against other political groups or other nationalities etc

I am going to be editing any posts by anyone from now on, where there may be negative slurs or defaming remarks about any nationality, ethnicity, race, political figure or political party or political persuasion

members are to please remember that we have many different nationalities, races and political viewpoints on this board and to respect that. To disagree agreeably is to debate and that is ok. we dont expect everyone to hold the same views. but we cant have the feelings of other members disregarded when posts become personally negative toward their ethnicity or political view.

this is a great forum and the lively debate and discussion is both interesting, informative and fun. Let's keep it that way please

the majority of members posting on these political threads keep things civil and respectful and make their points without being personally negative or disrespectful and that is appreciated.

But for clarity I will say again....we are NOT a political forum and the guidelines call for "LIMITING" political discussion
We have members from many different countries and political persuasions and request members to respect that in their future posting.

thanks
Cheri
