Ummm, open all the windows and run it thru a car wash?

I've never had to de-stink a car (not counting DH after eating red licorice), but this is what worked for a stinky fridge: lots of wadded up newspapers. Replace them often until they absorb all the smell.

You might want to contact a used car dealership. They actually have a cleaning service that gets all the smoke and smells out before they sell the cars.

Maybe Febreeze? I've never had to clean anything like spoiled milk before. Maybe put some charcoal bricks in a paper bag and set it in the car. I think charcoal is supposed to absorb odors.

If it's in DH's car (and his fault anyway) - don't worry about it.....once he has to drive it he'll figure out how to get the smell out!!

Borax, vinegar and water, coffee grounds, baking soda.

The borax box actually says on it that it's for sour milk spills.

Sell your car. Even when I spill a little coffee(with milk), I clean it and
still want to barf for about a week when I smell it.

Really, my sympathy is with you, I might have it professionally cleaned.

I hope you can get it out, good luck

Simple Green is the name of some stuff. Once we cleaned out an old car we bought for our son. It had mouse smell. It worked but, then you get sick and tired of the smell of Simple Green Good luck

Too bad you can't use Tomato sauce. Don't laugh, but I once saw a tv program and the people had gotten sprayed by a skunk.

The only thing that took away the odor was tomato sauce poured all over their bodies.

So after you clean up the mess (and why on earth are YOU the one doing this??).

After you get all the sour mess cleaned out and you only have the odor, you have to find something to neutralize the odor.

The borax and vinegar is a great idea.

Then you can spray the air with neutra air, or one of the newer Febreze air sanitizers.

But if it's still there in one week, this is what I would do.

Go to your local car wash.

BUT LEAVE THE DOORS AND WINDOWS OPEN.

That'll do it!!!!

Best of luck.!!

Why am i doing it?????

But ofcourse Im the one!!!! DH jusy had a hernia repair and he cant bend, stretch, pull, lift etc.

I spent several hours outside today in the heat with this. First i had to pull out the carpeting, then remove the spare tire, then the jack (trying not to puke) only to find chunks and liquid.

ok......Im going to lose it if i recount anymore!.... Needless to say I used lots of paper towels and pinesol. Dont really care if it works!!!! car is still wide open in driveway. Dont think anyone will still it!!!!! LOL.

Everything now smells like spoiled milk!!!!!!

Thanks for the hints.

I love my DH......I love my DH......I love my DH??????
