Ribbon What did you get/give for Mother's Day?

I only started this thread cuz I was so tickled by my present I wanted to brag so everyone might as well join in ....lol

I got a brand-spankin-new......

18 VOLT, RECHARGABLE, BLACK AND DECKER-WEEDEATER.........(YES....that IS what I asked for)

It is so much fun....its power without messin me up for days.....

I used it several hours yesterday and it NEVER bothered me. I cannot use a reg gas powered weedeater or a push mower anymore due to the vibration....but this BABY .....ohhh so sweet.........
Now I want the leaf blower and the tree trimmer......I am in love with 18 volt....just need to get me some extended use batteries....these run out to fast when trimming my thicker grass.....

I got my momma a tee shirt that has a male and female cardinal on it (special image that reminds us of my dad) with matching sun visor and beach bag......I made my gma an apron (hand sewn and decorated), and I got my MIL a new readin lamp for by her recliner (it cost as much as my weedeater)
I also got 6 more gemstones for my collection, and our office extension we build nearly a year ago is finally finished and ready for me to paint today (BIL and DH got the muddin and tapin and texture done this weekend for me...wwwwooo hhoooo...now I can do the fun part....PAINT AND DECO)

It was a nice day round here...

HOW ABOUT YA'LL?????
DO TELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a grill!!! It's what I asked for.....my younger son bought it and put it together on Saturday so we could grill out on Sunday. Our old one was just too far gone to keep using it.

I also got a gift card to Barnes & Noble (my favorite store to browse and read) and two of the sweetest cards.

Both of my boys were here all day and we had T-Bone steaks on the grill. I haven't had a steak in ages - and it was SO good.

Kevin's girlfriend came over yesterday evening and ate dinner. I was still stuffed from lunch and didn't even eat last night. They had a pizza. Then we watched a movie.

It was a nice day despite the storms we had the night before. Very windy but we stayed indoors.

The only thing missing was my Mom and my sister......

So how was everyone elses Mother's Day?

IM glad you moms had a nice day. Me too. My little ones made me
beoootiful cards. My older boys got me some lovely flowers for my
front porch. My dh bought me one of those huge swings with a canopy, it
even has little tables attached(for my iced tea). We put it between
two small lilac trees. Its the perfect place with a pretty view.

Later in the morning my children helped my husband and I plant all the
cool weather veggies in the garden. We were so behind, Im so happy
they all helped and it is done.

Later on we had a chinese takeout feast. I love to cook but its such
a treat not to.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful day.

Aren't homemade cards the best!!

Chinese take out sounds so good (even tho it is only 9 AM!!). I haven't had that in such a long time....might have to splurge on it soon!

I forgot to mention that my oldest son gave me a tulip plant with about eight blooms. It's beautiful and I hope I can plant the bulbs outside so we can enjoy it next year, too!

I got a beautiful day filled with lots of love from DDs, DBF, and family. It was a great day! (OK, DDs did buy me a really nice t-shirt and DBF gave me $$ for painting supplies).

We went to my parents for dinner and had a wonderful time with family. DD18 had to work and was not able to have dinner with us. But after work she bought me flowers and cannoli, which she knows I love. (She works at an Italian restaurant.) It was really sweet.

FFM - Yes, I love typical men's gifts too. Right now a good miter saw and an electric staple gun would thrill me to no end. LOL. Give me the power tools. LOL

I got to go out to a Japanese Restaurant.

AND, I ordered a new Juiceman Juicer from the internet. I checked out other comparable juicers and decided on this one.

The one I use now is a 15 year old Juiceman Jr, that works fine, but the feeder is too small. This one is a souped up model, with a large capacity feeder, bigger horsepower.

Since I juice every morning, I'll be juicing this thing to death.

Can't wait.

Hope you all had a nice day.

Melody

Didn't really get her a gift, but made sure I picked up a card for Dad to give her when I bought mine. Dad's a great guy, but works crazy hours and doesn't get out shopping much. And he's not real good at remembering important dates. Made sure my sons had cards for her as well.

We did have a get together here at the house with some of my SIL's family. It was a regular Hillbilly Hoot! Now to go out later this afternoon to get birthday gifts. Mom's is tomorrow and my youngest son, Andrew, is Wednesday. Mini Moose #2 will be 5.

Already got the cards to give her. (Even Dad's).

HK, I replant all my tulips I receive as gifts, I have had great luck with
them coming back. I have a little tulip garden in the front of my
house that is all replanted tulips. I love it.
