Wait  ...back on topic right now!

I just looked at the Dysan vacuums this week.

They have two new ones with a swivel ball that helps you turn corners on a dime. But it's not as powerful as the original ones.

Then they have the really powerful "suck the shoes off your feet" ones, that don't have the swivel, but seem to turn much better than my old vacuum.

Which one do you have???? Do you like it??? Why do you like it??? Did yours come with the attachments, or did you have to buy them???

Thanks!

i got mine when they first came out. i'll have to go to the dyson site and see is the model is there. it's purple and teal.

it came with all the attachments.

the one for stairs and small places has the beater bar like the big vacuum. that is what i love about it so much. most are just flat suction and just get the stuff on top.

it's wonderful for flat surfaces too. easy to adjust. no more sweeping floors.

lol..i could go on and on. it is so easy to clean. just a button and it dumps in the garbage. all the parts are safe to wash with soap and water. the hepa filters ( which you get 2) clean up in a snap.

when the commercial says..never lose suction...it's true. it does take about 2 -3 seconds when you turn it on to get full suction. after that i'ts good to go and go and go...

Back on topic? But shelley eats like a vacuum! I thought that was the topic?? Eureka! I found a Hoover!

Oh I am going to pay for that one!!!

PS Shelley, I don't do buffets...:p

Nice vacuum Yappy. I've seen them demonstrated and would buy one when I need one. :D

Well from someone that vacuums EVERYDAY and has for almost 10 years I love the Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum with Inteli-Clean System and I have owned all kinds of vacuums, even a Dysan.

Oh gosh I even forgot to answer the real question, the stairs. This has a long hose and a GREAT attachment with a small brush just like the vacuum and it does a great job on my stairs and fast too.

I can take it if she can dish it out! LOL!

You wanna come vacuum my house? Dog hair and all? Oh wait, Holly doesn't shed! ;)

That's a cool vac, Yappy. But 18 lbs? Yow... The specs on my current vac were around 12 lbs and that's heavy enough. I'd have to take one for a test drive to see if I could handle it or not. I haven't been able to push mine for almost a year now. And I had to have one for upstairs and another for dowstairs since I couldn't lug it around safely.

Curious 05-17-2008 04:19 PM

it is heavier than the hoover i had, but it glides very easy. with my bad back, i don't have any problems with just vacuuming. it's easier than the lighter wieght hoover was.

it is heavy to take up and down the stairs. that is one thing i am thankful for. i do have stairs to vacuum..but my front door is down stairs and living area up, so not up and down like i had before.

i have heard pro's an cons about the light weight orecks. i used one at a relatives and didn't think it cleaned very well.
