We saw this last weekend in Chicago and loved it! But then to say we are middle aged folks...is a stretch.

Laughed out loud a lot! And sang along.

I have a picture of me from 1973 when I was 22 holding my 3 year old son. My hair was past my waist. It sure was hard to take care of and I was constantly getting it caught on something or sitting on it.

I finally got it cut to shoulder length when I was 26. Everyone in the beauty salon stopped and watched. It was complete silence and then a huge gasp from everyone when the scissor cut it and the guy held it up for everyone to see. LOL

Becky, Don't you wish they still had the hair & could it give to the cancer association for wigs? My hair was almost to my waste. But when I got it cut, they were not doing that yet either.

Hi steve~~ Good to see you posting!!

Loved the video and the memories! AYUP, a Boomer here! I had older siblings and we were just talking about the late 60's the other day.

I probably dressed alot like you Anne! Long straight hair, halter tops, low slung bellbottoms and my beloved moccasins. I went through so many pairs of them.

The music and memories really had me smiling. Thanks Steve!!!

And, ZZ Top is still COOL!

Another Anne who went through much the same........

Long straight hair, halter tops, paisley print bellbottoms, mini skirts...the list goes on. I still love that music, but DH sold all my old 60's LP records when we moved house just recently. (10 cents each, Grrrrrr!)

In case you don't actually feel old, did you know:

*The people who started university this year across the nation were born in1989.
*Star Wars is older than them.
*Their lifetime has always included AIDS.
*Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.
*They have always had an answering machine
*They cannot fathom not having a remote control.
*They have always had CD's, never records.
*Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.
*They never took a swim without thinking about Jaws.
*They can't imagine what hard contact lenses are.
*They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.
*They do not care who shot J. R. and have no idea who J. R. even was.
*McDonald's never came in Styrofoam containers.
*They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Do you feel old yet?

Same here HK. I was born in '58 with two older sisters. They had 45 records in their room I played repeatedly when they weren't home. They also had a pink princess phone. We ate TV dinners on TV trays (Mom went through a phase...) My big sister had a red mustang convertible with a red and white leather striped interior.

I wore bell bottom hip-huggers and halter tops and had straight blonde stringy hair and wore blue eyeshadow. lol

I agree Steve! I loved the music of that time. I was hippie wannabe for several years, lol. Thanks for sharing that link with us. I emailed it out to my pals.

Default You're welcome wiz.

Quite welcome and glad you enjoyed it!

Kicker mentioned 8-tracks. Yeah, I remember those. I recall when they wouldn't track right having to put a penny, dime, or a matchbook cover under the tape housing to resolve the sound. We were quite resourceful back then. No?

And DM, how come in your post there's a little box saying something about Photo Bucket not being able to display the video or image? "This image has been moved or deleted" Wazzup with that? Let me or us know!
