Default facing eviction

Hey all ...

just received notice that my landlady is pressuring me via her lawyer (I figured the time was coming) to pay off what I owe her - and to remove my trailer from her lot as soon as possible.

and the letter states that they sent me a letter back in February - I never received ... no wonder no one has been talking to me these last 3 months.

and when I did see her (landlady) .. she says 'just do what you can' ... which I'm so far behind with everything that other than my electric, phone, carpayment, car insurance - has been the only thing I've been trying to keep up -- and at times, even got behind on all of that!

so this is how they treat their family ... I have no immediate family to lean on - only an uncle and aunt that are in their 70s and 90s ... that are just getting by....

I'm dealing with a stress-flair right now ... and have a doctor's appt here shortly ...

just would appreciate prayers that I will do the right thing .. and that God will deal with the giants (debt, landlady, moving, disability) in my life right now.

THANK YOU!!

We hold on by our fingernails sometimes, Vonn.

I hope that something good can be worked out so that the pressure to move is reduced.

Don't worry about anything but your health. Everything else will fall into place.

Vonn

That just stinks. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this and wish there was something I could do to make it better. I will definitely keep you in my prayers, Vonn.

Is there any kind of rent relief or city/state/county things you can sign up for?
Churches sometimes can help in these situations.

I don't know if you already looked into all that so just wanted to mention it.

Keeping hopeful thoughts for you.

I also think: The landlady/landlord better have followed your state's eviction laws. She/Her attorney has a burden to prove that you received notice (Feb., they say) because there is a stipulated time-frame that is required before forced eviction can happen.

I'm not saying you don't owe her anything or that you are trying to worm your way out of anything.

Time, however, may also open more options for you.

Vonn07,

Things sound bad, but they are never as bad as you think the are. Work to do what you can and you will find people are quite sympathetic, and if they can they will help. I've been there, waiting for the sky to fall - it didn't. I had to make some changes but life went on. Real faith is knowing that no matter what happens everything will be okay.
