Default Son's Transplant Anniversary!

I'm totally overwhelmed just thinking about it, but TODAY is the 14th anniversary of my DS's kidney transplant. I thank the LORD for every day that lil kidney is working. It is not a cure, but it's a fantastic stall. They claim he is in a slow chronic rejection.

I pray every day that it will be a lifelong stall... We go to the Univ next wk for a checkup, so I just wanted to say ~~~

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my son's kidney transplant.

(He has my L kidney, so I keep telling him he should be having hot flashes)

He is not amused by that!!!

Slow is good! May he have many, many more years with your kidney. I can't even imagine what it must have been like when you found out he needed a new one and then gave him one of yours. What a precious gift to be able to give your child.

Dear DM,

I'm so humbled by your story of what you've done for your DS. God bless you both! I hope that kidney lasts him a lifetime as well!

I hope it's a life long gift for him. I know that no matter how old they are we still worry about them. I think you're an angel for sharing your kidney with him - but I know that you didn't even have to think about whether you would do it or not. And I'm sure you'd do it again if you could. For a Mom there isn't any decision to be made - we'd do anything for our children.

It's so cool.

So, does that make B the same age as his kidney was when he got it?
