Default "Baby Come Back"

I'm just sitting here, on the computer, listening to a music channel on TV thinking of my DH. I said "Radar Love" made me think of him but I just heard "Piano Man" by Billy Joel and a little part of that reminds me of him too...."the waitress is practicin' politcs as the business men slowly get stoned." When out on a project they just wear jeans & casual shirts but still I picture the 'business men' slowly getting stoned (you see, they don't look like 'business men') I went with DH to that same city for a few days & I ate with those guys. One guy gave up martinis for Lent, however Really they had beer with the meal nothing more. (But, you can still drink so much beer that you can 'slowly get stoned'.) I'm getting excited now...he comes home tomorrow night (if all goes well) and I will see him for the first time since June 2. He goes back for another three weeks, June 22. It used to be I'd start to go crazy after him being gone two weeks, now it appears to be three

LOL, it seems like everyone who has a traveling spouse can't wait for them to come home but also can't wait for them to head out on the next trip! Enjoy your time together.

Cindy, I wish he didn't have to go back---& back & back &.... all summer. What made you think that hun? Cuz I wrote that I can 'take it' for 3 weeks now? The 1st time he left on a trip shortly after we got married it was for 3 days & I cried & cried. He just goes so much that 'my immunity builds up'. Really, I hope he can come back early next time, for July 4. His sis from Virginia will be in town then too. We all (with her kids & ours) take a blanket & sit on the lawn downtown and watch the fireworks.

No, no, Lor, nothing that serious! Several of my friends have one or the other spouse on the road often and it just seems like they are so glad when the other gets home. Then, when they go back into their routine of things not being "their own way" they joke about waiting for the next trip. They don't mean it, just kidding around.

Hey lor~ It's actually pretty refreshing to hear someone say the things you did about missing your DH. My DH hates it when I leave to go visit DD, but I always tell him it's b/c he has to fend for himself while I'm gone.

Hope you make some fireworks of your own!!

"Baby Come Back".....I love that song. Reminds me of the 70's.

There's a commercial - I can't remember what it's for - and the lady is telling her DH goodbye as he leaves for a business trip. She's acting very sad....but as soon as he's out the door she's celebrating and eating bon bons and flipping through the channels with the remote. It's really funny!

My Dad traveled for his job for many years and I remember my Mom telling us that at first she cried and hated to see him leave. Then she said it got to the point where she was glad to see him leave and also glad to see him return....she got used to her three or four days of it just being "us girls" at home.

Ah, but the upside is that YOU WILL NEVER GET BORED WITH EACH OTHER.

You will treasure any time that you have together.

Makes it SOOO much better.

Enjoy it when he comes home. Do something silly. And write silly notes that he can find in his suitcase. Little smiley things. Men might say they think this is dumb. Believe me, they don't think this is dumb. They LOVE it that you thought of them.

Have fun!!
