The Japanese Restaurant that we go to is right around the corner from our home. Every evening after dinner, I go around the corner and sit on a neighbor's front porch. Everybody comes out. This house is a few feet from the Japanese Restaurant.

Now my friend (whose porch we are sitting on), believes that Japanese Restaurants only serve raw food. Nothing we tell her will convince her that the food is cooked. She has it in her mind that when you go into a Japanese Restaurant, no matter what you order, it is served raw.

When Alan and I finished our Japanese meal, we naturally had to pass by her home. She was waiting on the porch to wish him a Happy Birthday.

She said (like she always does). "Wasn't the food raw??"

I said "Viv, would I eat raw chicken, I mean think about it. Alan eats Chicken Teriyaki, do you think he would eat RAW Chicken Teriyaki"??

She says "But it's Japanese Food, everybody knows it's raw".

Good Lord. We had to laugh.

She's going to be 76. She will NOT TASTE ANYTHING NEW. She will only go to one Chinese Restaurant and that's it.

I told her "let me tell you something, by the time I'm 76, I want to have tasted EVERY FOOD FROM EVERY COUNTRY.

I have many countries to go....lol
