Momma, I always thought it was spelled "Yon't to?"
To the rest of the country, folks born in the Confederate states talk a little funny. We say stuff like “Carry me to the store,” “I’m fixin’ to do that,” and “Don’t let that sack tump over.” We use words like hosepipe, wollered out, yon’t to, and might coulda. http://www.thecolumbiastar.com/news/...inion/016.html had an hour of "Yon't to?" (aka: Afternoon Delight) today, and I'm mighty pleased to report that mi esposo was MOST accommodating of my needs... that means, changing positions every few minutes, to ameliorate my legs' tendency of goin' GA ZOINGO, twangetty-tawoingo. I didn't 'finish' so I surreptitiously used my Con-Air back massager while he was in the shower (LOL !! I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but dayam, it takes me so LONG nowadays, via manual methodology...) and gosh-o-jeepers, I've been saying "No" to my poor hubby for a MONTH now... tummy-ache... head-ache... leg-spazzes... brain icepicks... sprained ankle... urinary tract infection, etc. etc. etc. that, well, since I felt SEMI-okay today, it seemed that was as good a time as ever for a bit of "Yon't to?" Momma, I'll be 51 in a few weeks, and have been militantly adverse to letting go of that important part of my life... AND, I've been meditating pretty constantly on what you posted, whilst going about my chores... perhaps it IS time to gracefully let it go? and enjoy other intimacies instead? or maybe teach him to properly use the massage wand? (lol, again, sorry!) because kiddies? it just seems like s...e...x... causes me more hassle than pleasure nowadays. don't want another UTI, gotta drink gallons of water, before, during, and after... and I'm menopausing, which means I'm dry, even though my THOUGHTS may be lubricious, it's not reflected down there in the rebellious South, (so to speak.) and there might be extra laundry to wash (urinary accidents) or bed-pads to change (absorbent pads hidden under the center of the bottom sheet), plus... I'll be tired, tired, tired afterwards... argh! happy to report, hubby is going around with BIG GRIN this afternoon, and HIM being happy makes ME feel happy... plus, I didn't wet the bed, and didn't need any lube, and got a NICE long nap afterward... so... I guess it worked out okay?:D:hug: |

Well, depending on where in the South you are from will depend on the dilect you speak.
I say: flipdot =turn that over fixin to= going to sho nuff hottern a cat house in mid July more nervous than long tailed cat in room full of rockin chairs you need the stupid slapped outta ya? I also can speak and write very properly when needed... Cayo...I been there done that and like others in this thread we live our lives just fine with out it...I actually don't miss it...maybe when I was younger I got more than my share and made up for these times! lol Melody...bet your neighbor really is a hoot, I would probably just take it all in stride since I have friends that ask those things and they are healthy...maybe a lil nuts, but healthy. lol |
Maryland isn't really even South but Baltimore is famous for calling everyone "hon". And there artists and artitects do "drawlings". Anywhere you go people tell you not to get your panties in a bunch, that's just good sense.

sence I hails from Californy, I gots to base mah dialectin' on reltivs, like mah daddah (from Virginny) an' mah Gramma (from Alabamah) an' my cuzzins (livin' on th' Redneck Rivieria, in Floriduh) and mah ex-MIL (an Arkie) and ex-FIL (an Okie)
which be why y'all be seein' sech a mish-mash conflation of accents and styles. oh, and Momma? 24 hours latah, mi esposo is STILL wearin' a happy grin plastered to his face, and keeps on bringin' me TREATS he's bakin' up in th' kitchen... lol, maybe it AIN'T time to quit yon'tin'-to yet? :D:winky::D |
